PUNE: The city police on Wednesday claimed to have cracked the case of the murder for money of Sulochana Dange (70) in her home near Warje Naka on Tuesday by arresting her 24-year-old granddaughter, a telecaller, on Wednesday. Police said the granddaughter, Gauri Dange, committed the murder for money. However, she was desperate to pay Rs 15,000 against Rs 9,000 borrowed from an online loan application.
“Gauri had lodged a murder complaint after the occurrence, but she continued changing her statement, making the police suspicious. She was exposed to some extreme barbecuing, during which she conceded to having carried out the wrongdoing, “said agent magistrate of police (zone III) Pournima Gaikwad .
Referring to subtleties arising out of the questioning, Gaikwad said,
“The loan app executives were after Gauri for the past few days to reimburse the advance.”
They sent her whole contact rundown and her two photographs on Tuesday morning, with a message that the photos would be morphed and sent to her contact if she failed to repay the loan by night. This drove her into a panic mode and forced her to commit the crime.
Gaikwad said, “We have recovered her cellphone to investigate her cases about the messages, photographs, and credit application matter.” We are moving toward a gem specialist in Karve Nagar to whom Gauri professed to have sold her grandma’s murder for money gold chain and a couple of gold hoops to reimburse the credit. We also established that she had dishonestly claimed the robbery of Rs 35,000 from the house in her complaint.”
Women held for grandmother’s murder for money to repay debt
Senior examiner D S Hake of the Warje police said, “Gauri left studies after Standard XII.” She was working as a freelance tele caller for a leading private bank yet wasn’t making it to the point of supporting her propensity for shopping and traveling. Thus, she began taking advances from online applications.
She would acquire this from an application to reimburse the advance of another. She soon found herself in a difficult situation. She had some awareness of her grandma’s ornaments, but the last option had told her that she had no cash. “
He said, “In this case, her credit reimbursement was expected before the current month’s over.” In any case, the credit application chiefs began calling her significantly sooner, requesting a quick installment of Rs. 15,000, which Gauri did by offering the trimmings to the goldsmith. We will before long recuperate the adornments and question the gem dealer. “
DCP Gaikwad said, “Gauri arrived at home from the get-go Tuesday.” Her grandma was dozing then. She got a pad and covered her. At the point when Sulochana attempted to set up an obstruction, Gauri got a shaving razor and caused cut injuries to her hands and neck. She then, at that point, she got a screwdriver and hit it hard on Sulochana’s head, causing a profound physical issue. We have held onto the screwdriver, the razor, and the pad. “
Gaikwad said, “Gauri put two glasses on a table and cleaned the house prior to moving out to cause a situation which would lead the police to gather that two men had entered the premises when the casualty was separated from everyone else.” We will explore the credit application Gauri utilized for acquiring the cash. “
Senior overseer Shankar Khatake said, “Sulochana’s child and Gauri’s dad, Sunil (52), is a woodworker.” He has not procured a lot in the past 90 days. The family, having established in Solapur, relocated to Pune quite a while back. “
