The support is requested by the party to vote for Mr. Sinha for having a good and worthy president in the country.
Yashwant Sinha, a former BJP union minister and who is now in Trinamool congress is ready to contest the upcoming presidential election.
The party has selected his name as their candidate and requested everyone to vote for him, though the BJP haven’t revealed their party candidate for the presidential election but the party member like Sharad Pawar has secretly shown no objection in Sinha’s name.
A committee has been formed for the campaign and the party members like Jairam Ramesh, congress leader, he also mentioned while giving a joint statement that the Modi government has done immense damage and now there will be no further damage. Jairam Ramesh also mentioned that they regret to mention the Modi government as no efforts were shown by them in terms of presidential candidates.
Earlier also Mr. Sinha had given a hint of contesting the presidential election by saying he must step ahead from the current party and start working for the unity of parties.
In his tweet he mentioned Mamta Banerjee for adding him to the party and now he has decided to move forward for the betterment and he believes that whatever decision he is taking will be accepted by Mamta Banerjee. Many of the other party leaders have decided not to run for presidential election, people like Sharad Pawar, Farooq Abdullah.
Today, BJP has decided to put a meeting for choosing their candidate for presidential election. The process of electing the president will be from June15 and the last date for the nomination is 29 June. The dates can be shifted from June to July 18.
