Gaurav was arrested on Saturday evening for celebrating his birthday with fans which led to chaos at Sector 51 Metro Station and has been granted bail.
YouTuber Gaurav Taneja aka ‘Flying Beast’ has been granted bail hours after his arrest by the Noida Police. He was arrested on Saturday after a birthday party by him and his wife, Ritu Rathee Taneja at Sector 51 metro station of the Aqua Line in Noida went out of order.
It created a stampede-like situation when thousands of people reached the particular spot, following which Mr. Taneja got arrested. Though, he was granted bail late on Saturday night.
He was arrested for allegedly violating the laws which are in force in Noida. He was detained and later was arrested under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) and Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
Gaurav and his wife had planned a birthday party for him at Noida’s Sector 51 metro station where they had invited their followers to participate. They had also booked a metro couch and had allowed 200 guests to be a part of the celebration. Though, they had taken prior permission from Noida Metro for the same.
Later, the situation worsened when the YouTuber’s wife, who has over 1.6 million followers on Instagram, invited their followers through the social media platform that she will meet them at about 1:30 pm for a birthday celebration.
An earlier Instagram story on Ritu’s account announcing the party stated: “For Gaurav’s birthday celebration: We will be restricted by the maximum capacity of a Metro given by NMRC. But we will meet everyone for sure! I’m doing it all by myself so if there’s any fault, forgive me, friends. Keep sending love.” Although hours later, another post on her story notified that the celebrations were being canceled “due to some personal issues”.
Following this, many more people flocked to the Noida Metro Station to meet the YouTuber. When this resulted in a huge jam on the road, heavy traffic, metro passengers facing problems, and many more, Noida Police took conversance.
According to sources, Gaurav was detained for a few hours. He was taken to the station for interrogation and later released on bail late in the night. Also, the investigations are now underway. The YouTuber is yet to comment on the matter. Although, he posted a picture of himself cutting a cake and thanking his followers late on Saturday night.
