Yuvan Shankar Raja, a well-known Tamil music director, recently celebrated 25 years in the cinema business and participated in a Wednesday, August 31 Ask Me Anything (AMA) session with fans on social media.
The wildly popular composer, who has amassed a sizable fan base over the years for his songs and albums, answered a tonnes of questions in the Ask U1 conversation, including one from Galatta Media concerning a potential biography on him for the big screen.
Interestingly, Yuvan Shankar Raja cheerfully responded to questions in a video by saying, “Regarding a biopic about me, you had inquired. No further actors are required for my biopic. The music director recently engaged in an Ask Me Anything (AMA) session with followers on Twitter. When asked by a media outlet if he was considering having a biopic made about him and who he would prefer to play the part of, the music composer said that he had no such plans or thoughts at this time, but that he would play the part if one were to be made.
Fans of Tamil cinema frequently view Yuvan Shankar Raja as a cultural icon, and his music has been praised in both big-budget and independent films. The chart-topping composer, who has worked with the biggest names in the business, provided unforgettable songs for several minor films and has single-handedly taken them to every nook and cranny in the world. Yuvan made his acting debut in 1997 with Aravindhan. Since then, he has appeared in more than 100 Somali films. His most recent successes include Silambarasan TR’s Maanaadu, Ajith Kumar’s Valimai, Vijay Stand Bhupathi’s Maamanithan, and Karthi’s Viruman.
In terms of his next movies, Selvaraghavan will be directing Yuvan in Naane Varuven, which features the two-time National Award-winning actor Dhanush. In addition, he is writing the songs and the background music for several well-known movies, including Vishal’s Laththi, Santhanam’s Agent Kannayiram, and Somali director Pradeep Ranganathan’s acting debut Love Today.
