Oleksandr Zinchenko is all set to reunite with Mikel Arteta and his former City teammate Gabriel Jesus. According to the king of transfers, Fabrizio Romano both Manchester City and Arsenal are said to have agreed to the transfer of the Ukrainian footballer Zinchenko.
Arsenal will pay 30 million pounds to City to sign the Ukrainian full-back. Zinchenko has signed a four-year contract with Arsenal which will keep him at the club till the end of the 2026 season.
The head coach of Arsenal Mikel Arteta has always been a fan of young Ukrainian footballer. As Zinchenko wasnāt getting regular minutes to play first-team football at City, the Ukrainian decided to switch sides.
According to David Ornstein, a football journalist from Athletic UK, Arsenal has agreed to fulfill the demands of Zinchenko. Reportedly, the Ukrainian captain has been promised first-team football by the Head coach of the Gunners.
The Ukraine National team captain Zinchenko joined Manchester City for the fee of 1.5 million euros in the year 2006. Zinchenko is a versatile player who can play as a midfielder as well as a defender. Zinchenko is always used as a backup defender by Pep Guardiola.
In his seven seasons with Manchester City, he has made a total of 127 appearances scoring two goals and assisting 12. He has won four Premier Leagues, one FA Cup, four Carabao Cups or League cups, and two FA Community Shields while playing for Cityzens.
Last season Zinchenko made a total of 28 appearances in which he gave five assists. The Ukrainian national was always keen on reuniting with the Arsenal boss. With City giving a green signal to the move, Zinchenko will realize his dream of playing at the Emirates stadium.
As of now, Zinchenko is in pursuit to play for the Gunners. Manchester City will look to sign the replacement for the Ukrainian. Reportedly Pep Guardiola is excited by the idea of bringing in his countryman.
Manchester City are now prepared to push with an official bid to open talks with Brighton to sign the Spanish left-back Marc Cucurella. Marc Curcurella has always been a top target for Pep Guardiola.
