India has sent three flights to Poland to bring back 600 Indian students and nationals stranded in the war zone of Ukraine. This operation to evacuate students from Summy was started on Tuesday morning.
On Friday early morning 5.45 am, 240 helpless students evacuated from Northeastern Ukranian city Sumy were landed safely in Delhi. An Air India Flight from Poland’s Rzeszow carried the evacuated students took off on Thursday around 11.30 pm (IST) and landed in Delhi on Friday morning 5.45 am.
According to The News Minute, the officials said that another Indian Air Force (IAF) flight carrying students from Summy also landed in Delhi on Friday morning around 8.40 am.
The Union Minister, Anurag Thakur received the students returning, via Operation Ganga, from war-torn Ukraine today.

While the second flight is for fourth- and fifth-year students in Ukraine. And the third flight would be for sixth-year students, students and nationals with pets and for others who may have been left behind.
Finally, the students are being evacuated from besieged Summy through multiple means of transport after their two weeks’ dreadful stay.
The war zone of Ukraine has seen massive bombing, airstrikes and fierce gunfire since last month after the offensive Russian military invasion on Ukraine.
Regarding the whooping flee of people from Ukraine, the International Organisation for migration had said that 2.5 million people have fled Ukraine up to Friday morning, since the Russian invasion.
