The Delhi Police have caught two people in a 9-year old boy’s murder case whose body was found stuffed into a sack near Uttam Nagar. According to an initial investigation by police officers, both Umesh Kumar and Naveen Mehto are laborers from the construction site where they worked at the time of crime.
According to the police, a charge was recorded on October 11 at Uttam Nagar Police Station regarding a missing boy playing in front of the house.
The case under section 363 IPC initiated, and the investigation was taken up where parents received ransom call demanding five lakhs from them through phone number which lead us to locate person named Bipin Bhandari whose name mobile registered with so we could track him down easily.
What was the outcome?
The kidnappers’ demands were met when they gave just over 5 Lakhs as ransom after learning about their child being held captive.
When a pair of policemen restrained Bhandari’s house, six other laborers residing on the same floor were also apprehended. They found themselves in handcuffs after being discovered with hidden Aadhaar cards and fake identity proofs.
The police were looking for two juvenile ‘uncles’ who had kidnapped a child. One of them finally admitted to his crime but initially tried to mislead investigators by telling them he was innocent and didn’t know anything about it.
However, after breaking down later on in the interview process with tears streaming down face, they told everything, including how they got intoxicated while drinking before taking steps towards murdering this poor boy, so that’s why there was blood at the scene; when found – shocking details!
What was the planning?
Naveen and Umesh planned on kidnapping a child from the park they met when he happened to be playing there one day.
The two knew that Naveen’s father worked as a supplier for construction sites, so that it would have been easy money had this plan gone well in their eyes, at least until things took a turn unexpected by both parties involved.
They were not aware of what was coming next due neither being informed about each other’s involvement beforehand nor did either of them know anything else apart from planning out how best can get away with abducting Ankush Kumar before anyone could stop them – which is precisely why they didn’t tell anybody else except family members.
When did the incident take place?
On October 11, the child went missing from a park, and his parents frantically searched for him. After being kidnapped by two men who offered to help in return for $5k ransom money, they were finally able to bring their son home, where he was strangled before being put into a plastic bag entrusted as a disposal site near rented accommodation killer-parents until police could arrive at the crime scene.
A search for Ankush Kumar ensued from October 13 until he finally resurfaced near one caught-red-handed– Umesh Kumar.”
The police inspector assigned to this case inspected all CCTV cameras visible from where bloodied clothes had been left behind by murderers who’d thrown them into the garbage.
Finally, through investigation, Umesh Kumar cracked down and told the entire incident. He said he was in desperate necessity of money because his addiction to drugs had caused him financial trouble as well; with an accomplice named Naveen Mehto, who is also addicted like them, they stole Bipin Badari’s SIM card so that it could be used for their use on another man’s handset living nearby but not belonging there at all (explanation given).
A source tells us that one of the juveniles who committed this crime was motivated by TV shows. They said he needed money and decided to do something after learning his friend’s dad recently made big bucks.
