The teaser and trailer of Adipurush were released in the first week of October. The film has already started with pre-promotional events in the state and will soon begin the main promotions before the release.
Adipurush soon after its trailer release faced a lot of trolls and backlash regarding its VFX quality. The film has a sparkly star cast with a considerable budget invested in the VFX, the internet was filled with bad words and fun mouths as soon as the trailer was released. The film was humorously questioned on its budget of 500crores with such a low-quality VFX.
The film had a holiday release during Pongal/Makarsankranti in the second week of January 2024, the team seems to have taken a different route and has postponed the release dates due to clashes with other films of Vijay Thalapathi, Cheeranjivi and others. The team has decided to give the film a sole week release as the film has too much at stake. Though the news has not been officially announced yet, it is predicted that the team doesn’t want to take any other risk regarding the film.
The film is one of the biggest projects Prabhas, directed by Om Raut under the banner of T-series. On being asked about the backlash and trolling, the director said, “ there is a way we want the audience to seek the story, and this is how we have imagined the legend Adipurush.” He also said that each and every character has their own fight in the film, and if not for Prabhas and the other members he would not have made this film.

The film stars Prabhas as Adipurush Shree Ram, Kriti Sanon as Sita, and Saif Ali Khan as Ravana. The film seemed to have created quite a spark about the casting of Saif Ali Khan as the antagonist as well. People questioned the scene, where the character was seen riding a black huge bat-faced creature. People said that this is not the right way to portray Ravana. In his defense, the director said that the characters were sketched according to today’s portrayal of them, how they would have been today.
Amongst all the rumours of the dates pushing ahead, people also feel that the producers are worried about the continuing failed performances in Bollywood for a few months. The production house is avoiding all the possible threats to its film collection. The team of Adipurush will soon release the tracks to engage the audience and announce the official date of the film release.
