Two officials of Russia have told CBS News that there was a discussion about how and when they might need to use nuclear weapons in Ukraine among the senior Russian military leaders .
As per the reports in the discussion among the military leaders,Vladimir Putin was not involved.
The probability of using nuclear weapons has potentially increased, even though there is no particular sign of Russia preparing for it.
Dmitry Peskov, Russian diplomat, has accused them of “deliberately pumping up the topic” even though the timing of the discussion between Russian military leaders is quite suspicious.
By the end of September, President Putin had boasted about the powers of Russia and the amount of nuclear weapons they possess. He accused the west of forcing him to do this nuclear blackmail.
He firmly said that he is not just bluffing and quite serious about it.
White House national security spokesman John Kirby said that they have grown increasingly concerned about the potential of Russia using nuclear weapons in the past three months.Nuclear threat has increased greatly.
In past weeks, Russia has accused ukraine of preparing “dirty bomb”with radioactive material, although ukraine has not claimed it.US said that russia is just making things up and creating an excuse to blame ukraine.
