The G20 Bali summit is the 17th meeting of the G20, which is the Group of Twenty.
G20 or the Group of Twenty is the premier forum for international economic cooperation.
The venue fixed for the summit is Nusa Dua, Bali (Indonesia), and will be held on 15-16 December 2022.
The total budget is expected to be around 45 million USD.
Leaders from countries like Argentina, Australia, Brazil, France, China, India, Germany, Japan, Turkey, the USA, the UK, and Saudi Arabia are expected to participate in the meeting.
However, Chile is not a member of the G20.
Why won’t Elon Musk be able to attend the summit?
Musk, the CEO of Twitter, will not be able to travel to Bali for the summit.
Musk is also the co-founder and CEO of Tesla. He is the World’s richest person, with a net worth estimated at around 203 billion USD.
Musk was born on June 28, 1971, in Pretoria, South Africa.
It has to be noted that there is a court case, which is in its proceeding, regarding his pay package worth 56 million Dollars, in the year 2018.
Musk has to be present in the court, for the trial, and hence he won’t be attending the G20 summit.
He would be taking part in the discussion on the topic “future disruption of global technological innovation”, which is expected to last for an hour or so, virtually.
Indonesian politician, Pandjaitan confirmed, Musk would be visiting Jakarta in the month of December.
The president of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, met Musk in Texas and had a discussion over Tesla investments.
Owing to the summit, which would mark the presence of various leaders from all around the world, security is of top priority for the Indonesian government. A large number of police officials and soldiers are also deployed all over the country, to make sure that no stone remains unturned when it comes to the security of the world’s leaders.
It has to be noted that the movement of flights will be restricted on the days during which the summit will be held, due to safety reasons.
