Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) notified the Civil Service Examination 2022 on May 23rd.
New Delhi: On May 23rd today, UPSC declared the final results of the 2022 civil service examination. The results pointed out that the number of women candidates appearing on the toppers list is increasing. The first four ranks hold by female candidates. The aspirant Ishita Kishore has earned AIR 1 in the 2022 UPSC CSE results. And the second and third positions were gained by Garima Lohia and Uma Harathi N, respectively.
The civil service examination is a prestigious exam in India, and this is the second year where continuously the top position has been secured by female aspirants.
UPSC has recommended a total of 933 candidates for appointment in several positions after testing their qualifications and skill through the mentioned three stages.
The UPSC civil service examination is followed by a significant pattern. The examination is conducted annually, having three considerable stages such Preliminary examination, Mains examination, and the Personality Test (Interview). The examination was held to select the candidates for the central service group A and B posts.Â
Among the 933 candidates, 345 belong to the general category while 99 are included in the category of OBC, 154 SC candidates, and 72 ST candidates, the commission declared.
And also, the commission has stated that the candidacy of the 101 candidates is provisional. The document of result is published in accordance with the roll numbers.
Aspirants can check the result of the 2022 UPSC civil service examination on the official UPSC website https://www.upsc.gov.in/ . The individual marks sheet of the candidates will be uploaded on the websites within the upcoming 15 days.
Out of 933 candidates, 613 men and 320 women were recommended to appoint to respective services.
Moreover, getting into more detail, the top 25 UPSC candidates in 2022 cover 14 women and 11 men candidates. Each candidate possesses a different or diverse educational background. Engineering, commerce, science, medical science, and humanities are some of the examples. Besides that, the list of recommended candidates included 41 candidates having a benchmark of disabilities. The candidates having hearing impaired, orthopedically handicapped, visually challenged, and multiple disabilities are included in the diverse UPSC civil service examination results from 2022.

Topper 1
Ishita Kishore, who grabbed the first rank in the prestigious examination, is an economics graduate, qualified from the accredited Shri Ram College of Commerce at Delhi University. After completing her study, she started her professional life in Ernst & Young risk advisory department.
Topper 2
Garima Lohia is the second topper who graduated from Kirorimal College, University of Delhi, in commerce. She chose Commerce and Accountancy as her optional subject.
Topper 3
Uma Harathi, who won the Civil service examination held in 2022 and secured the 3rd rank, is from IIT Hyderabad and qualifies for Civil Engineering. She opted for Anthropology as her optional subject.
Topper 4
Smriti Mishra bagged the 4th rank in the examination. She is a Bsc graduate qualified from Miranda House College of Delhi University. Smriti chose Zoology as her optional subject in the examination.
UPSC Post List
The civil service examination is conducted for various job positions in different central services. The exams will be conducted for 24 different services. From the lakhs of applications, only a few candidates will be recommended for appointments which are filtered through the three stages of exam pattern-preliminary, Mains, and Interview.
