Today, May 28th, marks a significant change in India’s history as India commences towards its development and glory, and breaks the shackles of its post-colonial mindset by entering a new era, with the inauguration of “India’s new parliament”
The old parliament was constructed by the British with a fixed mindset. They left our country, but they left their mark in the form of the parliament. But, now the tables have turned,
and India’s new Parliament is the symbol of India’s sovereign democracy.
The shift from India to Bharat-
Back in 1947, when India got independence from the Britishers, the locals shouted “Jawahar lal ji ki jai”, “Mahatma Gandhi ji ki jai”.But today, at the inauguration of the Parliament, all “Indians” said in unison “Bharat Mata ki jai”.
The word Senghol means righteousness and sceptre.
In 1947, then Prime Minister Jawahar Lal Nehru was handed Senghol, a stick made of silver with a coat of gold, by the priest of Thiruvavaduthurai, to signify the transfer of power to India from the British. The sceptre symbolizes equitable and fair governance. The term sceptre originated at the time of the Chola dynasty. The passing of Senghol from one king to another signified a change in power.
The day began with a Dhawan, with people from different religions and cultures bestowing the event with their presence and chanting mantras and singing songs from their culture or religion in their dialect. This event symbolized “swadharma” and“Saurashtra”.
Senghol symbolizes “dharma” and“Nyaya”. The establishment of Senghol just beside the seat of the speaker of the parliament (Om Birla), solidifies the permanence of Nyaya and dharma in the parliament forever. With the establishment of Senghol, the PM makes sure that people from diverse regions and cultures are respected there, all their voices are heard, and no one goes away with a “khali haath” from the dome.
Senghol has made the place pious and consecrated, with an element of purity always surrounding the environment. Just as Senghol is a mystic, PM Narendra Modi is also a mystic, who has devoted his whole life to the feet of his mother India, he has spent all his life serving India and its inhabitants with all his honesty and integrity.
The parliament is the soul of the country, all the major decisions for the nation are made through the parliament. It is a temple that is surrounded by its pandits (MP). All the work (pooja)is done there. Parliament stands as a strong backbone, which cannot be defeated.
The shift of India’s MPs from the old to the new parliament is a significant change on many levels. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has travelled back era, by installing Senghol
The new parliament also shows Modis working, every day, every minute and every second, development happening from building the new Parliament, construction of new factories /industries, and the laying down of railway tracks in different parts to the inauguration of new metros. Just as “Senghol”, PM Modi also works with no hidden motives. He is transparent.
Modi was able to diversify the reach of electricity to rural areas at zero profit. His farsightedness also helped the entire nation to be digitized, thus making it “DIGITAL INDIA”.
India under Modi was the only country to help other countries with vaccinations and medicine at the time of Corona.
The shift in the country is quite visible and applaudable. It metaphorically suggests a shift from colonized and Nehru mentalities to free and Modi mentalities. The Parliament session
