Shilpa Shetty, along with Malaika Arora, took to social media on International Yoga Day.
Annually, International Yoga Day is observed on June 21. It began in 2015 to promote yoga as a time-tested strategy for improving physical and mental health.
This year’s theme is “One World-One Family,”(Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam) or yoga for the benefit of all. The spirit of yoga, which unifies and carries everyone forward, is expressed in it. On Instagram, a lot of celebrities posted images related to Yoga Day.
Shilpa Shetty, along with Malaika Arora, was the first actress to release a yoga DVD video ten years ago, even though fitness and health hadn’t yet gained the same level of popularity as they do now; she frequently spoke about living a healthy lifestyle and posted fitness videos; as a result of her constant encouragement of others to follow suit, the actress is currently thought of as one of the top possibilities for fitness.
Shilpa practising Yoga on the beach
Shilpa Shetty shared a video of her doing yoga asanas by the sea on the social media. In her yoga practice, Shilpa Shetty can be seen performing the poses Vrikshasana and Natrajasana while perched on a wall beside the seashore.Â
The post was with a caption that a single smile can ignite happiness all around us. But to do that, one must be content inside. Incorporate yoga into your daily activities to maintain a healthy mind, body, and soul. A happy person is a healthy person, as the saying goes. We everyone have a happy and healthy yoga day. Atmanamaste.
Malaika’s View on Yoga
This is my point of view, Malaika Arora captioned a video of herself performing several yoga asanas that she posted on social media. Malaika explains what yoga means from her POV (point of view) as the video goes along. For her, Yoga is, quieting the mind, calming the nerves, accepting yourself, and developing strength, growth, and love, the video’s caption declares. Happy Yoga Day! to everyone. Check it out below:

What is International Yoga Day?

Yoga is an age-old practice for developing one’s physical, mental, and spiritual practices. The word “yoga,” which has its primary roots in India, is taken from Sanskrit and means “to unite.” The attainment of unbreakable peace is symbolized by this unity, which denotes the ultimate integration of the body and consciousness.
On December 11, 2014, the United Nations declared June 21 to be the International Day of Yoga in recognition of yoga’s appeal to people all around the world.
Our current Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, was the one to launch it. He proposed this particular date because, the summer solstice, the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere, falls on June 21.
Benefits of Yoga:
The benefits of Yoga range from mastering countless techniques for controlling the body and the mind. Because many of yoga’s teachings are reflections of spiritual and mental states, it is not only a physical practice but also a mental one. By allowing your body to delve into undiscovered regions, you will gain clarity in your life and tranquillity in your soul.
International Yoga Day aims to continue spreading awareness of how much devoting a little time to the practice of yoga can enhance people’s lives.
Yoga Today:
The fact that yoga keeps inspiring and engulfing the world is proof that it is practiced everywhere! Today’s society is embracing yoga lessons more than ever before, and there is a greater need than ever. Although yoga has been extensively marketed, being a yogi ninja is unnecessary to fully enjoy the tradition’s beauty and advantages.
