“Today, across the nation, universities and colleges are being built,” he remarked during his speech.
The number of academic institutes like IIT, IIM, NIT, and AIIMS has been steadily rising over the past few years. These organizations serve as New India’s foundation.
In congratulating Delhi University on its 100 years of existence, Prime Minister Modi remarked that DU is more than simply a university; it is a movement that has given life to every movement.

The PM emphasized the better gender balance in the nation by stating that more girls than boys are currently enrolled in classes at Delhi University.
“Despite there formerly being only three colleges at DU, there are now more than 90 colleges that are a part of the university”. PM said.
At DU today, more women than men attend classes. Similar improvements have been seen in India’s gender ratio.
It implies that the country’s branches that reach the sky will grow taller the more deeply ingrained its intellectual institutions are.
India’s Universities Gain Global Recognition
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that forward-thinking policies and actions made in the last few years in the education sector had increased Indian universities’ stature around the world.
In the most recent QS global ranking, which was released in 2017, there were 45 Indian universities listed, up from 12 in 2014, the year he was elected Prime Minister.
