- Ukraine war update: Indian embassy advised Indian Nationals to remain calm Â
People acquainted with the situation informed Hindustan Times on Thursday that the administration is putting another escape route for Indian nationals stuck in Ukraine due to the shutdown of the eastern European nation’s airspace to commercial planes.
“Alternative evacuation routes are being opened due to the closure of Ukraine airspace,”
they stated, noting that the Indian embassy in Ukraine is still operational and that its recommendations should be heeded. Â
According to the sources, more Russian-speaking staff have been dispatched to the embassy in Ukraine. They are being sent to Ukraine’s neighboring nations, with high-level talks at the ministry of foreign affairs.  Â
The Indian embassy earlier in the day issued advice advising its citizens to be patient and stay in place wherever they were in Ukraine, citing the unpredictability of the situation following Russia’s incursion. Â
“Ukraine’s current situation is highly precarious. Please be safe and secure wherever you are, whether at home, in hostels, hotels, or transit, “
the warning stated.  Â
Several cities around Ukraine have reported explosions, including the capital Kyiv and the separatist provinces of Donetsk and Luhansk. Â
Ukraine claims to have turned down six Russian planes, while Russia neutralized Ukraine’s fleet and harmed its air defenses. According to Reuters, Russian bombardment has killed at least eight people and injured nine others, citing an adviser to Ukraine’s Minister of Internal Affairs. Â
According to Bloomberg, Ukraine’s border agency stated Thursday that Russian military units crossed the border in four northern districts, including Luhansk and Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second-largest city. Dmytro Kuleba, Ukraine’s foreign minister, has asked world leaders to isolate Moscow in all forms and apply crippling penalties thoroughly.  Â
Almost every major country, including The Us, the European Union, the Uk, and Canada, has denounced Russia’s conduct. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has asked Putin to end the conflict “for the sake of humanity,” warning of disastrous consequences for Kyiv and the rest of the globe.
