WhatsApp is working on many new features for Android, Apple iOS, Windows and web users. Most of these features are already available for WhatsApp beta users; some features show beta updates. WABetaInfo, a website that tracks the upcoming features and changes on WhatsApp, has reported these features. Here we are telling you about ten features of WhatsApp, which you can get soon.
1. Group admin will be able to delete messages sent by other users.
WhatsApp is working on a new chat feature for the group admins. On its arrival, WhatsApp group admins will be able to delete messages of anyone without asking. After this, users will see a note that “The admin has removed it.
2. 2-Step Verification for WhatsApp Web/Desktop
There are plans to bring a new safety feature for desktop and web users. WhatsApp can apply two-step verification on the web/desktop. Two-step verification is a optional feature that makes your WhatsApp account more secure for the unaware. The 2-Step Verification PIN is different from the 6-digit verification code you receive via SMS or phone call. This is needed when you log in to your WhatsApp account and helps prevent unauthorized access. This feature is currently available on the WhatsApp mobile app.
3. Message reaction features like Instagram and Facebook Messenger.
WhatsApp brings message reactions similar to those available on Instagram and Facebook Messenger. This feature gives users the ability to react to the message. Users have to tap and hold on to the message they want to respond to and place their finger on that emoji. The reaction will appear below in the text and be visible to all group members.
4. New Animated Emoji.
WhatsApp is animating heart emojis for Android and Apple iOS users. When a user send a red heart emoji, they see an animated heart beating. Right now, it is limited to the red heart emoji, but a new report by WABetaInfo suggests that the platform is adding animated effects to more emoji.
5. Community Group Chat Feature.
The community feature will give more control to group admins. It will be a lot like an Umbrella Discord community. This feature gives the option to create a group within a group.
6. Search shortcut will be found in the contact information section.
WhatsApp company plans to bring a new search shortcut in the redesigned contact information section. A new search shortcut will be added next to the video call icon. You will also see the new shortcut in the Group Info section. This search button is found on the home screen of the app. You can search any message using this feature.
7. Block people from viewing WhatsApp status.
The new WhatsApp shortcut lets you manage status privacy settings. The shortcut will work with the new caption bar. On which work is in progress. The shortcut allows editing the list of users who will see their shared status updates. When you tap on ‘Status’, you will see the shortcut that appears at the bottom of the screen. With shortcuts, you will be able to select WhatsApp contacts quickly.
8. Review shared photos and videos.
WhatsApp is planning to review the documents shared in the chat. The review will be similar to what appears when you share a PDF file as a document on WhatsApp. Right now, you can’t see a photo or video sent as a document without opening it.
9. Sharing the same photo or a video in chat and status both at the same time.
WhatsApp is working on new feature that lets users share their status in a single window with different chats or groups. Now If you want to share a single media file on your status and multiple conversations, you’ll need to do this separately. With this feature, users will see a redesigned caption with added functions. By tapping on the camera icon in the Chat, Group or Status section, users will select the options they want to share.
10. New Interface for Voice Calls on.
WhatsApp is changing the design of the app window of a group voice call. The platform is adding voice waveforms for all people during a group call. Voice waveforms are similar to those seen in voice notes.
