Presidential invite for G20 dinner by the name of “President of Bharat” instead of “President of India” causes a fresh row between BJP and Other Opposition parties

In a fresh war of words between the ruling party and the opposition, General Secretary of the Congress Party Jairam Ramesh has recently launched a fresh attack on the BJP over the wording of the G20 presidential Invite.

The congress leader on Tuesday alleged that invitees to the G20 summit dinner which will be hosted in Rashtrapati Bhawan, New Delhi have “President of Bharat” being written in place of “President of India”.
Taking to Twitter he said that Rashtrapati Bhawan had sent the invitation for the G20 dinner by the name of “President of Bharat” instead of “President of India”
Jairam Ramesh also said that Article 1 of the constitution of India starts with “Bharat that was India” which shall be a union of states. He alleges the. The Idea of a “union of states” is under attack by the ruling government.

Attacking Narendra Modi, a senior leader in Congress accused the PM of twisting history and dividing the country.
In addition, he also said the objective of India’s party is to bring harmony, amity, reconciliation, and truth to this country with the slogan Judega BHARAT Jeetega INDIA!!

CM of West Bengal Mamta Banerjee questioned the center for the sudden urge to change the country’s name. She said we all call this country Bharat but People of the world know this country by India’s name.
MK Stalin CM of Tamil Nadu opined that after the opposition parties have united to dethrone BJP out of power. The ruling party wants to change the name of the country from India to Bharat.
He further said that BJP made a promise to transform the country for good. But in these odd 9 years, we have gotten only a name change. Reported by CNBCTV18.

He said that the BJP’s move to change the reference invitations of the G20 dinner has fueled public debate. How can the BJP remove the name INDIA? This country isn’t the property of one political party. Our identity isn’t a personal property that it can alter whenever it wants. This country belongs to 135 crore Indians.

But there were many members of the ruling party who expressed their jubilation on this decision.

BJP MP Sushil Modi gave justification for this action. He opined that both the names Bharat and India are present in the constitution. He further said if the title of president of India was written for 75 years, then what’s the problem with the title of president of Bharat?
He further said that we don’t say India Mata ki Jai, we say Bharat Mata Ki Jai.
He also alleged Name India was given by the British and these two parties RJD and JDU have a problem with the name Bharat which is why they use India as the name.
