On 6th September 2024, Wednesday Akshay Kumar reveal the motion Poster of his upcoming film ‘Mission Raniganj’ as this rescue theatrical work is based on gallant escapade of ‘Jaswant Singh Gill’. One rescued the trapped miners from inside of the coal mine of 1989.
But the controversial matter isn’t the movie, however the title itself. Previously as reported or being noticed, all talked about the title being – “Great Indian Rescue” and now film’s tag line reads as “Great Bharat Rescue”. Which totally catches the eyes of many as it contradicted earlier then, why this sudden change? Does it heat up because of India-Bharat debate recently or what’s the truth behind? Most of the fans pondering if It’s meant to change, does this linked with current India’ name change noise.
In the current India-Bharat debate, things went up on serious controversy as in last week. Our President Draupadi Murmu had send invitations to the foreign world leaders for dinner during the G20 Summit. When things got heat up by others, seeing that the invitation carries the name – “President of Bharat” instead of the traditional way “President of India”. This had driven apart into a political controversy. And a shock to everyone if the administration planning to do so in upcoming session.
After such chaos augmented, a sudden change happened to enlighten in form of curiosity among the fans. As the actor shared the motion poster on social media yesterday, on Wednesday with a significance on the adherent being “Bharat’s True Hero” and that wasn’t missed by anyone.
All this falls in pieces as the actor himself ones twitted with state calling – “India’s True Hero” just before deleting it and re-posted as “Bharat True Hero”.
On several social media platforms, fans criticized it and commented over on Akshay Kumar’s poster – “It’s just a publicity stunt for promoting the movie” another commented, – “The poster of the great “Bharat rescue… designer has definitely overworked in last couple of days” pointing towards the sudden change row of the current debate over India-Bharat.

Film “Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Rescue” is a forthcoming Indian-Hindi survival thriller movie of Tinu Suresh Desai (Director) with Pooja Entertainment as (Producer). The movie is based on the ‘Raniganj Coalfield’ downfall of 1989 in West Bengal.

Principal photography commenced on July 2022 which ended in August 2024 with a song then post-production works. And full set to release on October 6th 2024.

About Late Jaswant Singh Gill who saved 65 miners
Jaswant Singh Gill was a mining engineer, resident of Amritsar. In West Bengal year 1989 Jaswant Singh Gill had recused and literally saved lives of about 65 people from the flooded, perilous coal mines. Which was installed and moved in Amritsar surroundings that to after his demise after 4 long years.
Jaswant Singh Gill from Amritsar Sathiala, born in 22 November 1937. Alumnus of Khalsa College, completed education and graduated in 1959.
On the historic day of 13th November, 1989 a tragedy walloped in the Mahabir colliery in Raniganj, West Bengal. After tirelessly mining and blasting for extracting coal, an unpredicted catastrophe revealed that day. Due flooded mines it perilously closed every exit. Huge occupancy of chaos aroused between 220 miners lives. Soon after few times only 65 trapped inside begin to wait, with uncertain fate and blind trust over the people outside.
Amidst this situation, Jaswant Singh Gill came with an idea of drilling well and deploy in a special crafted steel capsule in-site. Soon 65 miners were rescued and relieved with the second chance they got in life. And finally after saving them all heroic Gill’ emerged from the depth.
