397 new COVID-19 cases were recorded in Gurugram on Monday, accounting for around 85 percent of all new infections in Haryana at the time.Â
On Monday, the state health bulletin recorded 397 new cases of COVID-19 in Gurugram, accounting for over 85 percent of all new infections in Haryana at the time. On the day in question, the state recorded 470 new coronavirus infections, with new cases continuing to climb in Gurugram and Faridabad, both of which are located in the National Capital Region. Â
In response to this expanding tendency, a growing number of districts in Haryana’s National Capital Region (NCR), including Gurugram, Faridabad, Sonipat, and Jhajjar, have made the use of face masks mandatory. According to the most recent bulletin, a total of 49 new Covid cases have been recorded in Faridabad.Â
Eleven of the remaining twenty districts in the state reported new cases, while nine reported no new infections. Of the remaining 20 districts, 11 districts reported 24 new illnesses, while nine districts reported none. There are currently 1,828 open cases. Â
Sanjeev Kaushal, the state’s chief secretary, said Monday that the state is preparing for a “rapid increase in the number of infections” through “aggressive surveillance,” “stringent containment,” “rapid contact tracing,” and “focused clinical management,” in addition to “proactive information, education, and communication activities.” The Haryana government stated in a statement that Kaushal was addressing at a meeting via video conference presided over by Union Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla to assess the COVID-19 scenario and preparations across the country. The conference was held to assess the country’s COVID-19 position and preparation.Â
According to the chief secretary, a policy is being designed to establish micro-containment zones and improve daily testing capacity in a few districts, most notably Gurugram, where the number of positive tests has increased significantly.Â
In the state, 1305 residents of Gurugram and 418 residents of Faridabad have caught the viral infection.Â
On 25th of April COVID-19 positivity rates in Gurugram increased from 5.97 percent on April 18 to 10.25 percent. Gurugram was responsible for 331 of the 417 Covid instances recorded on Sunday in Haryana, while Faridabad was responsible for 72.
