A public rally was organised in Pune by the MNS. There, the chief Raj Thackeray requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi to bring in Uniform Civil Code and population control law in the country.
“I request the Prime Minister to bring the Uniform Civil Code at the earliest, also bring a law on population control and change the name of Aurangabad to Sambhajinagar,” he stated while addressing the event.
Speaking to the MNS workers at the rally, he lashed out at the Maharashtra Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government and also accused them of allowing the AIMIM to win the Lok Sabha seat of Aurangabad. He mentioned, “The MVA ruling party is responsible for allowing AIMIM to spread its wings. It is shocking that an AIMIM candidate (Imtiaz Jaleel) defeated a Shiv Sena candidate (Chandrakant Khaire) and got elected as MP in Aurangabad”.
“I thought Maharashtra would start boiling after AIMIM elected representatives went to Aurangzeb’s tomb and offered flowers to the Mughal king who had come to this region to kill Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. But Sharad Pawar saheb said Aurangzeb was here to spread his kingdom,” he further added.
The leader also addressed the issue of his Ayodhya tour postponement. He mentioned the reason for this as his hip bone joint replacement. “I am making it clear so that there is no misinformation spread by the media,” he further mentioned.
“Two days ago, I tweeted about postponing my Ayodhya visit. I intentionally gave the statement to allow everyone to give their reactions. Those who were against my Ayodhya visit were trying to trap me, but I decided not to fall into this controversy,” he stated.
Elucidating on his Ayodhya visit, Raj Thackeray alleged that a trap had been laid out for him by the people who did not like his loudspeaker protest.
“I know, with prevailing tension in UP, if I had gone there, then someone might have attacked me and my MNS workers would have given a befitting reply. And then there would have been cases registered against my MNS cadre. It was a trap for me and my MNS cadre. So, I decided to wait for a while,” Raj Thackeray said in his statement.
He further clarified that he was ready to take criticism but couldn’t and wouldn’t put his party workers in a legal battle.
He went on to further mention about his protests and targeted Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray over his Hindutva remark and asked, “Which Hindutva is Uddhav Thackeray talking about?”
Addressing Aditya Thackeray, he said, “Aditya Thackeray said that Balasaheb would have been happy if he had seen the Maha Vikas Aghadi government. Sharad Pawar said that they fought during the daytime and ate together at night. Shiv Sena doesn’t realise that the credibility of Balasaheb is being ruined”.
The leader has brought to attention several important points and has urged the Prime Minister to bring in the Uniform Civil Code and a population control law at the earliest possible, as they are the need of the hour. It remains to be seen what is the result of such strong statements made is going to be and what time has in store.
