Bollywood actor Shakti Kapoor’s son Siddhanth Kapoor and actor Shraddha Kapoor’s brother Siddhanth, 37, is among the five people who tested positive for drugs following a raid by Bengaluru police at a 5-star hotel in Ulsoor.
Siddhant, an actor and assistant director, has since been detained by Ulsoor pice on charges of drug consumption.
Police conducted a raid on Sunday:
The police conducted the raid on Sunday, based on a tip-off about the use of banned substances at the night party. Deputy Commissioner of Police (east) Bheema Shankar Guled said there were 35 persons in the party and all were subjected to medical tests to detect drug consumption.
The medical test confirmed five persons consumed drugs.
The police are in the process of recording statements of the detained persons, while further investigation is ongoing.
Police said it was unclear whether they had consumed drugs at the hotel or had come to the party after taking drugs outside.
Conclusion:
This is the second time in the Kapoor family that somebody is interrogated for drug consumption.
In 2020, Shraddha Kapoor was among those who were questioned by the Narcotics Control Bureau in actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case over alleged possession of drugs.
