A social horror-thriller set to be released on Hulu in March, the movie ‘Breeders’ take a turn towards the concept of dating gone wrong in Fresh starring Sebastian Stan and Daisy Edgar-Jones.
According to the Hollywood reporter, Olivia Cooke is going to play the titular character in the movie Breeders. This movie will also be the directorial debut of filmmaker Kelsey Bollig. Director Adam Mckay of Netflix’s ‘Don’t look up’ and an executive producer for ‘Winning Time’ on HBO will be producing this upcoming movie, the rights of which have been obtained by Lionsgate, a renowned Hollywood studio.
Based on Screenwriter Brian Steele and Adam Mckay’s original idea, the script for the movie was penned down by Steele. Brian Steele previously worked as the primary writer and a p[roducer for the Ambie-nominated podcast ‘Death at the Wing’. He also produced content, and wrote and directed for TruTV, Funny or Die, My Damn Channel, Fremantle, and IGN.
The Logline has not been revealed yet but a source revealed that the genre of the movie is that of s ‘social horror-thriller which runs on a similar line to Daisy Edgar-Jones and Sebastian Stan‘s movie ‘Fresh’ which is based on the concept of dating gone wrong and will run on Hulu from March.
The movie will be jointly produced by Adam Mckay and Todd Schulman under Mcvkay’s banner Hyperobject Industries.
Kelsey Bollig was previously seen directing critically-acclaimed short films such as Kickstart My Heart, The Fourth Wall, and Asking for a Friend. She has been building her reputation in the area of horror-thriller.
Olivia Cooke is currently working on the Apple TV+ spy series ‘Slow Horses’ alongside famous actor Gary Oldman. She has been previously seen in movies such as Ready Player One, Oscar-nominated Sound of Metal, Thoroughbreds, and Me and Earl and the Dying Girl.
She will be working on the highly talked about HBO’S Game of Thrones prequel, House of The Dragon next, where she will be seen playing the character of Alicent Hightower. The prequel series will debut on August 21.
