In August of 2022 which celebrated 20 years of the fabulous Dil Chahta Hai, Zoya Akhtar announced a female counterpart to their all-time superhit, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara which starred the blockbuster trio of Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar, and Abhay Deol.
They declared the road trip drama, Jee Lee Zaraa starring a stellar cast of the fabulous Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Katrina Kaif, and Alia Bhatt with the film being helmed by none other than Farhan Akhtar.
The film’s shooting is expected to kick off in early 2024 due to previous projects and engagements of the actors and directors.
Ishaan Khatter To Join The Stellar Cast of Jee Le Zaraa?
The Dhadak actor, Ishaan Khatter who is one of Bollywood’s latest stars is reported to join Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Alia Bhatt, and Katrina Kaif in their road trip entertaining drama that has already been setting up high expectations at the box office and critical reports.
Meanwhile, fans are excited about this new development as they believe that The Suitable Boy actor, Ishaan would look fabulous opposite the heroines, especially Alia Bhatt or Katrina Kaif.
Most of them were happy with the idea of a young male star being cast opposite comparatively older female stars, a revolutionary moment for Bollywood indeed.
One user suggested pairing Ishaan Khatter opposite Priyanka Chopra Jonas as her ‘younger love interest’, a slightly interesting turn for the makers to look at.
Reports state that the actor had already been signed to star as a male lead or love interest months ago but the makers were looking for the right time to make it official.
Meanwhile, Ishaan Khatter is waiting for the release of Phone Bhoot which stars Gehraiyaan fame Siddhant Chaturvedi and Katrina Kaif.
Directed by Gurmeet Singh it is being produced by Excel Entertainment and led by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar.
His next Pippa starring Mrunal Thakur has completed its shooting and is expected to release on the silver screen soon. He plays the role of Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta and the film is directed by Raja Menon.

Addressing rumors of the film being shelved due to her pregnancy, Alia Bhatt told the media houses during promotions how elated she was to be a part of this.
She told them that she was upset as they couldn’t go on floors in 2022 owing to her pregnancy but was excited to fight for it as it was massive and the trio couldn’t wait to feature in it.
Last year the Barfi actress, Priyanka Chopra Jonas talked about how this entire film came together.
Announcing Jee Le Zaraa she revealed how the ideation dated back to November 2019 when she wanted to a different and cool Hindi movie that was helmed by a stunning female multi-starrer.
She spoke about how she enthusiastically met up with Katrina and Alia to discuss the film and how super excited all of them were to bring their idea and vision to life.
Their decision to bring on board Farhan Akhtar, Ritesh Sidhwani, and Zoya Akhtar was almost spontaneous cause who better to direct road trip films other than the iconic Zindagi Naa Milegi Dobara and Dil Chahta Hai trio themselves?
She also spoke about how difficult it was to align their schedules but they stuck together to fight for this movie and get it done.
