The incident occurred a day after Punjab police removed his security, along with 424 others. Notably, the singer joined the Congress party in December of last year, ahead of the Assembly elections.
The 27-year-old singer was regarded as one of the best in the music industry. The shocking incident sent shockwaves across the country, and fans and artists came together to offer their condolences.
Justice for Siddhu Moosewala
In a message to Moosewala’s fans, the late singer’s mother stated that “Four months have passed since the murder, and they have given themselves plenty of time. However, police have been unable to apprehend the true perpetrators of the heinous crime.”
“We worked with the police and the government, but no one did anything to help us get justice,” Charan Kaur said. “It would have been better if we had delayed cremating our son until all those involved in his murder had been apprehended,” the late singer’s mother added.
A candle march in memory of the late singer was organised earlier today (August 25) in Mansa, Punjab, by his family members. A large number of people joined them. Fans who joined them were asked to do the same in their respective locations.
The Last Ride crooner’s team posted on Twitter and shared a photo of him with a message for everyone. “We request that everyone who is unable to join us in Mansa today for the Candle March do so in their neighbourhoods, towns, or localities,” the tweet reads. Please send us an email with the details of your planned candlelight vigils, and we will post them on our social media platforms. #JusticeForSidhuMooseWala.”
“If you are unable to participate in the March, please upload the post to your social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) with the hashtag #JusticeForSinduMooseWala.”
The investigation into Sidhu Moose Wala’s death is still ongoing, and fans are doing everything they can to seek justice for the late singer.
Meanwhile, Sidhu gained immense love and respect for his songs, and after his death, his final song, SYL, was released.
