In Kerala, a 47-year-old man has died due to the West Nile fever, which has caused fear across the country. Talking about the illness doctors says that the West Nile fever is somewhat similar to malaria but in this illness, the mosquitoes that carry the virus is different I.e., the Culex mosquito that is responsible to transmit the virus.

Various symptoms are caused after the virus is transmitted from the mosquito to the human body. Symptoms usually start after eight days of being infected, other symptoms are mild fever, body pains, fatigue, diarrhea, and rashes. Most people having the symptoms recover on their own after a few days.
The probability of being seriously infected by the Nile virus is about 1-4 percent, this is due to them having severe headaches and not responding to medication. Other serious symptoms can be high fever similar to meningitis, having a stiff neck, few people falling into a coma, or can die of using seizures.
People should keep in mind that there should be no stagnant water around their house so that no new mosquitoes are born in that stagnant water that can be future carriers of the disease.
Remember to cover yourself up before you leave your home, keeping in mind that mosquitoes will not be able to buy it when you wear full sleeves shirts or trousers. It is not uncommon for animals to get affected by this disease; thus, it is advised to wear gloves while handling animals. another way to come in contact with this disease is if an infected person donates your blood or organ then the virus is transferred to you.
Once the disease infects your brain the illness could easily turn fatal and result in death.
