R Madhavan, who penned the script as well as directed “Rocketry: The Nambi Effect,” discussed how Shah Rukh Khan became involved in the project.
Rocketry: The Nambi Effect was the first film that actor R Madhavan directed after making his directorial debut with the film. At a recent press conference, the director disclosed that Shah Rukh Khan and Suriya’s cameo appearances in the movie did not result in any financial compensation for them.
To the press, Madhavan said, “Be it Suriya or (Shah Rukh) Khan sahab, none of them demand any price for the film.” (Shah Rukh Khan sahab) They didn’t even have to pay for the caravans, clothes, or assistance, which was a nice touch.
In addition, Madhavan said that there are “a lot of nice individuals working in the film business.” “However, I come from the outside. Many individuals have been really helpful to me. Just because of my request, either Amitabh Bachchan or Priyanka Chopra tweeted their support for the movie. “I am appreciative of their affection and respect for me,” Madhavan said.
“I mentioned Rocketry to Shah Rukh Khan sahab when I worked with him in Zero…he remembered it vividly and during one of his birthday parties he asked me about the film’s status and expressed his desire to be a part of the film,” the actor-filmmaker said. “He remembered it vividly and during one of his birthday parties he asked me about the film’s status and expressed his desire to be a part of the film.”
He went on to say that Shah Rukh Khan had informed him, “Mujhe background mein koi bhi role chalega main is film ka hissa hona chahta hu.” (I’m good with any role in the background, I just want to be a part of this film,” the character says.
He was under the impression that SRK was kidding, but when he expressed his thanks to SRK’s management in a message, the manager replied, “Khan sahab dates puch rahe hai shoot ki” (Khan sir is enquiring about the shoot dates).
Madhavan explained how the character was cast by saying, “And that’s how he became a part of our film.”
The narrative of Rocketry: The Nambi Effect is based on the life of Nambi Narayanan, a scientist who once worked for the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) and who was wrongfully convicted of espionage. R Madhavan is responsible for not only writing and producing the movie, but he also stars in it.
The movie is scheduled to be released on July 1, and it will be available in the languages of Hindi, English, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Tamil.
