Gautam Adani, the chairperson of the Adani groups, took the issue of the train accident to twitter on Sunday. In the tweet he has expressed his dejection towards the heart wrenching tragic, claiming it to be deeply disturbing. Billionaire Gautam Adani announced the support to victims by sponsoring the education of the children who’ve lost their parent to the train accident.
As many prominent personalities as well as locals provide their best help to the victims, Gautam Adani too took charge of the situation and decided to provide the best to the victims as he believes it is the responsibility of all of us to help the victims.

Through a tweet in Hindi, Adani said, “The train catastrophe that happened in Odisha has extremely terrified all of us. It has been agreed that the Adani group will take the responsibly of the innocent children who have lost their parents to the accident and will fund their school education.” He also expressed “Offering the children a better tomorrow and those affected and their families is our shared responsibility.”, in the tweet on Sunday.
Aftermath of the train crash:
Ashwini Vaishnaw, the minister of railways, made the announcement of a probe but provided no other information. The Railway Ministry of India has advised that the nation’s top investigative agency look into the fatal accident. Preliminary indications from investigations done by the railways indicate that the collision was caused by a signal malfunction. The three-train crash on Friday evening has been called the deadliest rail tragedy in India in the last 100 years.
More than a thousand people were injured and brought to hospitals. Some families are still looking for missing members. It’s unclear why, given that other investigations have already gotten underway, the Central Bureau of inquiry (CBI), the ministry’s main decision-making body, has recommended opening a separate inquiry. The CBI looks into high-profile crimes, such as heinous financial frauds and homicides.

On Sunday, Mr. Vaishnaw said that the masterminds of the “criminal act” and “the root cause” of the tragedy had been found. He continued by stating that the tragedy was probably caused by a “change in electronic interlocking.” The minister advised to wait until the final report. He stated that the cause would be revealed in a report by the Commissioner of Railway Safety that would shortly be made public.
The Coromandel Express’ engine and carriages collided with a goods train on Sunday, according to the railroads, who also claimed that a signal problem and a “change in electronic interlocking” were to blame. To ensure the secure passage of trains along the track, the electronic interlocking system in railway signalling establishes routes for each train in a specific area.
The Coromandel Express coaches were thrown onto a third track by the impact of the clash, where they collided with the back coaches of the Bengaluru-Howrah Superfast Express as it was speeding down the line. The two passenger trains are believed to have carried more than 3,000 passengers.

The National Disaster Response force (NDRF) chief, Atul Karwal, claimed that multiple coaches were crushed as a result of the collision’s power. To get to the passengers, rescuers had to hack through the wreckage. Hundreds of ambulances, medical professionals, nurses, and rescue workers were dispatched to the scene and spent the next 18 hours pulling bodies and passengers to safety.
Support provided to the victims:
A support centre has been set up at the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation to assist those hurt in the train disaster in Balasore, Odisha. The aid desk, which is situated at the BMC-ICOMC tower in Satya Nagar, Bhubaneswar, attempts to help the stranded people as well as the family members, friends, and relatives of the deceased.
Naveen Patnaik, the chief minister of Odisha, announced on Sunday that the families of those killed in the triple train crash would receive compensation in the amount of Rs. 5 lakh. The Chief Minister’s Relief Fund will provide the financial assistance.
