Now, the great news – Alia Bhatt is ready to make her first major Hollywood drama in a film titled Heart of Stone. Wait, it gets better, as it involves even Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan as well.
Tom Harper will be directing this international spy thriller, supported by Netflix and Sky dance. Isn’t this overwhelming? This announcement was broadcasted on the official Instagram handle of Netflix India.
The caption reads:
“ Starting our day by announcing (and screaming) that Alia Bhatt is going to be in Heart of Stone.”
Netflix has not yet set a date for the release of Heart of Stone, but with the production of a highly coveted budget and a big star attached like Gal Gadot, it would not expect to reach Netflix soon in 2024.
The film is being developed by the same company that produced Skydance Media which is also behind blockbuster projects such as Mission: Impossible: Fallout, The Old Guard, Annihilation, Top Gun: Maverick, and many more.
Netflix hopes that Stone’s heart will mark the beginning of a new women’s spy franchise.
Popular actors who will soon feature in Hollywood

Dhanush, a Tollywood actor, will make his Hollywood debut in a thriller film, titled The Gray Man, set to be released on Netflix.
According to Netflix, it will be the first segment in the film franchise based on Mark Greaney’s first novel. Other actors who will also feature in the film are Billy Bob Thornton, Alfre Woodard, Regé-Jean Page, Ryan Gosling, Chris Evans, Ana de Armas, Jessica Henwick, Wagner Moura, and Julia Butters.
Method actors such as Pankaj Tripathi and late Irfan Khan have also stepped into Hollywood with their own charm.
After a brief appearance on Chris Hemsworth and Randeep Hooda’s Extraction, according to an Indian Express report, Pankaj Tripathi recently took part in another Hollywood project. Although little is known about the project at the moment, according to a daily report, the actor has already shot a film program in Thailand.
Indians in Hollywood
The representation of Indians, in Hollywood, over the years, has changed dramatically. From mere caricatures (think Appu from The Simpsons) to meaty heroes (Adarsh Gourav in The White Tiger) and supervillains (Priyanka Chopra Jonas in Baywatch). Indian actors have changed the representation of the people of the East by their powerful performances.
Now that Adarsh Gourav has won a Bafta award and The White Tiger has won an Oscar, Indian actors are looking to take part in more of Hollywood’s big and small businesses to establish a global presence.
