Amala said that Bhavninder had misrepresented the couple’s wedding photos by using images from a 2018 private photo shoot. Bhavninder Singh, the ex-boyfriend of South Indian actor Amala Paul, was detained by police on suspicion of mental harassment and cheating.
According to the actor, she reported the incident to the Villupuram district Crime Branch on the grounds that Bhavninder had threatened her and stolen money from her. During the course of the conversation, she claimed that he had not only cheated her out of money but had also caused her mental anguish as well.
In November 2020, Amala filed a defamation suit against Bhavninder, a singer, in the Madras High Court for defamation on her name. It was claimed that the couple’s wedding photos from a private photo shoot taken by Bhavninder in 2018 had been misrepresented by her husband.

Amala Paul stated in her petition that this caused her severe mental stress. According to media reports, the court ordered her to file a case against Bhavninder in this matter. Amala and Bhavninder worked for a company as partners. However, the relationship quickly deteriorated, and the Kochi-born actor claimed that Bhavninder forced her into bankruptcy by misusing her funds and properties.
She claimed that her ex-lover tried to confuse people in the film industry by disseminating photos from a private photo shoot without her permission.
Bhavninder posted the images on his social media account in 2020. The couple was dressed in Rajasthani wedding attire for the intimate photoshoot. When news of Amala Paul’s marriage spread, she issued a statement clarifying that the photos were from a photoshoot, not her wedding. As a result, Bhavninder had the images removed from his page.
But the photos had gone viral before he deleted them.
After a four-year courtship, Amala married filmmaker AL Vijay in 2014. However, the couple quickly fell out and divorced in 2017. Then she met Bhavninder, and they were a couple before their bitter divorce.
Amala and Bhavninder reportedly founded a film production firm in 2018 while they were still pals.
The actor, however, asserts that Bhavninder falsified documents to remove her from her position as director of the company after they split. Additionally, he threatened to post their pictures on social media. Based on the accusation, the Villupuram police detained Bhavninder and filed a case against him under numerous laws, including forgery, intimidation, and harassment.
Amala’s latest appearance was in the Disney+ Hotstar movie Cadaver. The actor reportedly made a significant investment in the movie, which was a home production. When it was released on August 12 in Tamil, the thriller earned favourable reviews from critics. Amala Paul’s most recent appearance was in Disney Hotstar’s “Cadaver.” She is currently watching “Christopher,” a movie with Mammootty, and “Aadujeevitham,” a movie with Prithviraj.
There were rumors that Bhavninder and Amala were dating, but the actor never confirmed it. When Bhavninder posted images of the pair dressed for a wedding on social media in 2020, it led to rumors that the two had wed. He erased the images, though, once Amala made it clear that they were from a 2018 photo shoot. After that episode, the two fell out of contact.
It wasn’t until she began working in other languages that Amala Paul started her career. She made her debut in Kannada with the film Hebbuli. Through her nearly ten years as a film actor, she has been able to participate in numerous films, where she has been able to express herself in all four south Asian languages. Earlier this year, she made her debut as a character in the web series Ranjish Hi Sahi, which is in Hindi language.
