Amitabh Bachchan praised his son, Abhishek Bachchan’s film ‘Dasvi’, after the trailer released on Wednesday, and said it is very different from his last movie.The legendary actor posted on Instagram and praised his son by saying that, it is the pride of a father.
He continued to say that, in film after film he surprises all with the incredible portrayal of totally different characters… and it’s phenomenal to be able to do that so successfully. Big B wrote on his blog that the trailer for Dasvi is, “incredible.”
He also explained the meaning of the term, ‘Dasvi’ to his readers. He added in his blog that, “for those that are Hindi challenged ‘dasvi’ means 10th .. the 10th standard or in todays terms grade, or in my time class .. its the 10th class in School .. and the story of a Chief Minister and his story of passing this examination, even though he is jailed. lets see how you can do this.”
Amitabh commented on Twitter in response to a fan post on the Dasvi teaser, “Bhaiyu .. my love and my blessings ever for this .. so much, so different from your last one and simply love the moves .. prayers are with you ..”
The teaser depicts a politician being arrested and attempting to adjust to life in prison. Ganga Ram Chaudhary, the Chief Minister of a state exonerated in a cheating case, is played by Bachchan. Yami Gautam and Nimrat Kaur play the leading roles in the film.
A reporter announces that Chief Minister Ganga Ram Chaudhary has been detained in connection with the teacher scam in the trailer. As the trailer progresses, Chaudhary relinquishes his position as CM to his wife, played by Namrita Kaur, and while in jail, he clashes with an inspector, played by Yami Gautam.
After a furious confrontation with the inspector, Chaudhary decides to pursue his aim of passing the 10th grade exams and begins studying with the support of other convicts and Gautam, who plays the inspector. Meanwhile, it is revealed that Chaudhary’s wife, who has taken over as CM, refuses to resign.
As soon as the trailer for Dasvi released, people flocked to social media to express their delight. When Abhishek mentions Deepika Padukone, it is one of the scenes that has gotten a lot of attention. Abhishek is demonstrating his English speaking abilities in this scene.
While doing so, he is interrupted by a fellow jail inmate who states, “Ranveer loves Deepika.” “Everyone likes Deepika,” Abhishek says in response. Deepika’s attention was drawn to the scenario when it became viral on social media.
Deepika posted on Instagram in response to the incident, “Thank you team #Dasvi for the LOVE! Wishing you guys the best!” Tushar Jalota makes his directorial debut with Dasvi, which comes from the makers of Hindi Medium, Stree, and Mimi. Ritesh Shah wrote the film, which is being produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films in partnership with Jio Studios. It will be available to view on Netflix and JioCinema starting April 7th.
Meanwhile, Abhishek Bachchan will next be seen in the Disney+Hotstar film The Big Bull. His film’s line-up also includes a film based on Bob Biswas, which Shah Rukh Khan has funded. He’ll also star alongside Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in Gulab Jamun. Last year, the actor made his digital debut with the web series Breathe: Into The Shadows on Amazon Prime Video. He was last seen in Netflix’s Ludo, directed by Anurag Basu.
