Students were arrested for a bomb bluff threat at Spring Dale School in Amritsar after another similar unnerving case at DAV Public School in Amritsar, which later proved to be a prank done by three students at the school.

Amritsar: And another bomb bluff threat at a private school in Amritsar, the police found the role of one of the school’s students who wanted to postpone their maths exam. The school was threatened that it would be blown on September 16.
When the message was traced back to the mobile owner it turned out to be the phone of a student’s father, police reported. A case was registered for criminal intimidation and under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) 262,506 and 507 and the IT Act.
The later investigation revealed that it was a bluff prepared by two students who were trying to get their maths exam cancelled.
MS Bhullar Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) said, “The child planned this entire drama just to get a maths exam cancelled. One person has been arrested and another detained in this case.” He also added, “Parents who have bought mobile phones for their children should keep their eyes on them.”
Police on September 8, Amritsar Bomb Bluff Case
A previous incident of a similar bomb bluff case took place in Amritsar’s DAV Public school on September 8, after which the school authorities filed a complaint to police after which the security was tightened outside the school in Amritsar.
A bluff message was sent to the school principal, of a bomb and gun firing at the school. The Police said, “That it was sent from a fake Instagram ID and that children used Google translate to write the text in English and Urdu.” Police further added it was sent by three students from the school itself.
DCP Bhullar said, “The Message turned out to be a bluff. It seems that three of the school students made a fake Instagram ID. They used Google translate to write the text in English and Urdu. The parents were called and informed of the same. We will act as per the principal’s request.”
