The film is a multi-starrer starring Rajkumar Rao, Bhumi Pednekar, Ashutosh Rana, Pankaj Kapoor, Dia Mirza, Sushil Pandey, Digvijay Singh Gurbat, and Sambhav Pandey. Other cast members include Virendra Saxena, Aditya Shrivastav, and Karan Pandit.


The music of the film is given by Mangesh Dhakde. Bheed is produced by Bhushan Kumar and Anubhav Sinha under the production house Beneras Media Works and T-Series Films. The film will be distributed by AA Films and Yash Raj Films.

The plot of the film will revolve around the backdrops of the horrific 2020 lockdown during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Bheed Release Date

In a statement by the director Anubhav Sinha, he stated that: “Bheed reflects the complexities and contradiction of our times. Bheed is a story that sheds light on the social disparity that the country faced during the hardest time of lockdown. It was critical for me to deliver this story to life and share it with the audience”. Previously the film was scheduled to release on 18th November 2022.

When the producers were asked to share something about the film they stated “Bheed is a film that will share an insightful perspective into some of the hardest times our country has faced in recent years and Anubhav’s vision as a director is second to none”.

The film also stars Rajkumar Rao and Bhumi Pedenakar, and the duo was loved by the audience in the film Badhaai Do (11 February 2022), directed by Harsh Vardhan Kulkarni and produced by Junglee Pictures.

Anubhav Sinha is known for his critically acclaimed and powerful films. He has successfully received a highly positive response from critics and audiences and is noted for directing successful films in the genre of social drama.

Bheed is not the first film to showcase the horrors of the COVID-19 lockdown; previously, the film “India Lockdown,” which showcased the hurdles faced by the people in the COVID-19 lockdown and was directed by Madhur Bhandarkar and distributed by Pen India Limited and Bhandarkar Entertainment, was released directly to digital on the OTT platform Zee5 on December 2, 2022.

The film Bheed” has a new release date, and it is all set to release theatrically on March 24, 2023.

Anubhav Sinha’s Successful Workfront

Anubhav Sinha is an Indian film director and producer, and he mainly works in the Hindi film 2012,Works,lm industry. He established his production company in 2012, named Benaras Media Works, which mainly produces films and television projects.

The 57-year-old director has successfully directed and produced 17 films to date. His directorial debut was the film Tum Bin in the year 2001, which turned out to be a commercial success at the box office.

The upcoming feature is jointly produced by Bhushan Kumar-led T-Series and Sinha. Kumar said he is thrilled to be working with Sinha on Bheed, which will offer an insight about the tough times faced by the country.

He is mainly known for his victorious films which include Tum Bin (2001), Dus (2005), Ra One (2011), Mulk (2018), Article 15 (2019), Thappad (2020) and Anek (2022).

His further projects as a director-producer are Faraaz (3rd February 2023), Afwaah (24th February 2023) and Bheed (24 March 2023).
