Delhi CM Kejriwal launches a national mission named “Make India No.1” in the world. He also asks everyone including all political parties and citizens to work together to work towards it.
Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party(AAP) Chief Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday launched a national mission named “Make India No.1” in the world. He claimed that we can make India number one by focusing on health, education, agriculture and employment.
Kejriwal said that this mission was an apolitical mission and hence everyone: all parties should come together to work towards it. Addressing the events in Delhi, “We have to make India number 1 in the world once again. We have to make our country great again. We are beginning a national mission called ‘Make India No. 1’ today. Every citizen of this country, 130 crore people need to join this mission,” asserted the Aam Aadmi Party chief.
He also attacked the leaders of various political parties in his speech for doing corruption. “We can not rely on these politicians for development as doing so will lead us in the direction of backwardness,” he said.
Urging citizens he said, we “as the citizens” must take this issue into our hands to make our country great again.
Addressing the public in his speech, he said that India has achieved a lot since 75 years of independence. Then, continuing also questioned how the several other smaller countries which got independence after us, surpassed us…, why did we lag behind? Every citizen is asking this today.”
Citing examples of several foreign countries like Singapore, Germany and Japan which became independent after us, he questioned. He asserted that Singapore got its independence fifteen years later than India. Japan and Germany were absolutely devastated, yet these countries have progressed more, he interrogated.
Delhi CM asks centre to follow Delhi Footsteps for development
Calling on the Centre, Kejriwal said the Centre should follow the Delhi Government’s successful model for development. He said the Delhi government’s expertise in improving education and healthcare facilities should be followed across India to make the country number one in the world.
AAP chief urged political parties such as BJP, Congress and the other political parties to join AAP’s national mission claiming the mission to be ‘apolitical’ for development.
During his speech, he also appealed to the BJP-led Government to not call ‘free education’ and ‘healthcare’ facilities “freebies”. Recently, a BJP minister filed a case in the Supreme Court against political parties trying to lure voters by giving freebies and ultimately disrupting the economy. After which the SC had come into immediate action.
Gujarat Assembly elections 2022
Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal is currently campaigning for the year-end Gujarat assembly polls. He delivered this speech in a pre-poll guarantee for Gujarat on August 16.
In his election campaign, he asserted to the Gujarat people that if the Aam Aadmi Party(AAP) was elected to power he would provide “free and quality education” to all the children of the state.
Kejriwal further also promised to improvise the infrastructure of existing government schools and also open new ones in large numbers across the state. The state is currently ruled by BJP- a union-led government.
Gujarat elections are scheduled to be held by the year’s end month of December.
“All those born in Gujarat will get free and quality education. We will not force anybody. If parents have money, they can send their kids to private schools. But if they do not have money, we will not let the lack of money come in the way of good education for their kids. We will provide them with the best education for free,” he had said at a town hall meeting.
