On Tuesday, Arvind Kejriwal announced that he will be spending Holi at home doing Pooja and praying for the country, he also added that he is not at all worried about Satyendra Jain and Manish Sisodia being in jail.
Arvind Kejriwal Video Message
In a video message slamming the Prime Minister, the Delhi CM said that he was worried about the country’s situation, and how the government hospitals and schools are in a bad shape but the two people who worked to improve the same are in jail.Â
He continued to say that it is worrying how in our country, the Prime Minister is jailing people who work to provide better health facilities and good education and is supporting those who rob our country hence he will spend the day of Holi meditating and praying for the country. The Aam Aadmi Party Chief also urged the citizens of the country that if they feel the same then they should also take some time to pray for the country after celebrating the festival.Â
Mr Kejriwal stated that he wasn’t concerned for Manish Sisodia or Satyendar Jain as they are “courageous”. They are extremely brave. Nobody can shake their resolve. All he is concerned about is the country’s situation. No one who works for or listens to the common man, he claimed.
Kejriwal’s reaction comes just days after Aam Aadmi Party leader Manish Sisodia was detained by the CBI about its inquiry into alleged discrepancies in the creation and enforcement of Delhi excise policy 2021-22. The AAP and the Delhi government have both denied the charges levelled against Sisodia, claiming that they were a deliberate attempt by the BJP-led Centre to target political rivals.
The Delhi CM continued to say that after 75 years, there is a person who has made available the poor with an education previously available only to the wealthy. Manish Sisodia is the person in question. Government hospitals throughout the country are in disrepair. A person transformed the image of healthcare facilities and established an entirely novel health model with mohalla clinics after 75 years of independence. Satyendar Jain is the person in question. However, they are imprisoned on bogus accusations.
Satyendar Jain was imprisoned in a corruption case in May of last year. On February 26, the CBI detained Manish Sisodia and both the cabinet minister quit last week.
The AAP’s number two leader has been charged with corruption in a new liquor policy that was scrapped after a CBI investigation was recommended by Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena. Following the implementation of a new policy in November 2021, the Arvind Kejriwal government has been accused of providing illegal benefits to liquor license holders.

According to media reports, Manish Sisodia, the former Delhi deputy chief minister, is now imprisoned in a senior citizen’s cell in Tihar jail’s ward number 9. Although Sisodia is not currently sharing a cell with anyone, he shares a ward with some fearful criminals.
In the meantime, Sisodia has submitted a bail plea in a Delhi court, which will be heard on March 10. The court has ordered the CBI to file a response.
In his bail application, Sisodia stated that keeping him in custody would be futile because all recoveries in the case had already been made.
The AAP and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal have strongly denied the allegations, claiming that the arrests were motivated by a political agenda.
