Celebrity weddings were prevalent in the previous year, including those of Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck, Alia Bhatt, and Ranbir Kapoor. Athiya Shetty, a Bollywood star, began the wedding season for 2024.
Highlights
Putting the rumors to bed once and for all, the pair tied the knot on January 23 in presence of close relatives and friends at Sunil Shetty’s Khandala home. Following are the bridal beauty trends from Athiya Shetty’s wedding lookbook.Â
On her wedding day, Athiya Shetty makes a delicate bride.Â
In an old-rose pink chikankari lehenga, Bollywood actor Athiya Shetty began the wedding season as she moved one step closer to her happily ever after with cricketer and current husband, KL Rahul. In order to create a unique soft bride, Athiya Shetty created a bridal mood board for 2024 and chose Anamika Khanna.
Anamika Khanna created a specially crafted minimalistic yet royal bridal garment that wonderfully represented Athiya Shetty’s demeanor, bearing her trademark delicate Zardosi and Jaali work.Â
Preserving the spirit of vintage charm, the lehenga’s elegant Chikankari design gives an air of subtle richness to the table, and its allure resonates today despite the evolution of time. The positive result couldn’t have been anything less than breathtaking when coupled with the luxurious silk fabric of her lehenga and an ethereal silk organza veil.Â
Not only that, but Athiya Shetty wore bold pearl and kundan choker jewelry, focusing mostly on her necklace and earrings. She paired them with a maang tikka, making her look stunning.
For her pre-wedding festivities, Athiya Shetty embraced both conventional and modern beauty.
The newlywed wore a basic gold handmade chiffon Kanjeevaram silk sari with a magenta pink blocked pallu in a series of Instagram photos. A pink blouse with gold stripes running horizontally was worn with the sari.
She chose a Guttapusalu necklace, matching earrings, bangles, and a striking South Indian choker to accessorize this sophisticated ensemble. She chose to wear her hair in a bun with a gajra elegantly embellishing it and to complete her look she went with a black bindi, kohled eyes, flushed cheeks, and nude pink lip color.
On her Mehendi, Athiya Shetty sparkled with Swarovski crystals.Â
Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul uploaded photos from their Mehendi ceremony on Sunday night. Athiya selected an off-white, pure Georgette lehenga by Anjul Bhandari that was crafted especially for the event. This has elaborate features and is the ideal style for daytime wedding celebrations. The actor wore a lehenga outfit with a blouse, dupatta, and skirt made of 24-karat Chikankari. The heirloom item is handwoven and covered in more than 39,000 Swarovski crystals, sequins, and tiny pearls.Â
Athiya wrapped her ornately decorated dupatta around her like a cape to wear with the lehenga. She added embellishments to the outfit, including elaborate gold and Polki bracelets, a massive diamond ring, a stunning mang tika, and exquisite old-fashioned earrings from her Nani collection. The statement earrings had a sleek chain, colorful beads, and a shape that was inspired by the moon.
In the end, Athiya went for a sleek hairstyle with curled ends, soft eyeshadow, smooth eyeliner, thick lash mascara, radiant pink skin, and pink lip color. To round off the glam picks, she added subtle contouring and darker brows.
Athiya Shetty wore an ivory vintage Anarkali to her Haldi ceremony.
It was nothing short of a wonderful celebration, as actor Athiya Shetty recently shared photos from their Haldi ceremony. For the pre-wedding festivities, Suniel Shetty’s Khandala villa was converted into a marigold haven. The inside images from their Haldi ceremony that have appeared online are nothing less than a kaleidoscope of golden hues.Â
The actress wore a stunning Ritu Kumar ivory-hued anarkali for her Haldi ceremony. Her cotton Anarkali boasts heavy gota embroidery over the collar and borders, as well as elaborate handmade gold gota work throughout the entire garment, giving it more punch and lending a royal air to her ensemble. She accessorized her Anarkali suit with a garara, dupatta, and gota embroidery.
Her organic cotton attire with delicate hand embroidery took approximately 2000 man hours to complete, with the mango motifs. To create a specific aesthetic, Gokhru Gota work has been done extensively throughout her outfit.
For the glam picks, Athiya chose blush pink eyeshadow, nude pink lips, and kohl-lined eyelids. Athiya kept her hair open in a half-updo hairstyle and adorned it with jasmine flowers with the help of hairstylist Reena Dutta. She adorned her look with mang tika, statement earrings, and golden jutis, which completed her look perfectly.
Athiya Shetty’s Chikankari suit and dancing sneakers
Ami Patel, the celebrity stylist who styled all of Athiya’s wedding looks, shared photos of Athiya’s stunning after-party outfit on Monday. Athiya had dressed elegantly in an ivory Chikankari suit for her after-party. Athiya’s Chikankari suit is off-white and includes a blazer, corset top, and matching pants. The one-of-a-kind custom ensemble is adorned with taar jaal, baby pearls, and sequins to up the glam factor.
The coat has full-length sleeves, padded shoulders, notch lapel collars, an open front, and patch pockets, while the pants have a high waistline, a flared silhouette, and side pockets. Athiya finished the look with a bandeau corset blouse with a sweetheart neckline, an unsymmetrical cropped hem, and a fitted bodice. Comfortable sneakers, diamond hoop jhumkis, and a diamond ring finished the stylish look.
Athiya chose center-parted open wavy hair, elegant eyeliner, beautiful mascara on the lashes, bright pink lip shade, rouged cheeks, flawless skin, wispy brows, delicate eye shadow, and minimal contouring for her makeup.
All of Athiya’s wedding looks have a sense of minimalism with a hint of old-world elegance. While the actress has dabbled in bohemian and romantic hairstyles, her makeup has been radiant and glowy.
On January 23, Athiya Shetty married cricketer KL Rahul, and the celebrations were filled with love and laughter.
