Arun Kumar (21st September 1986) known by his monomial name Atlee is a film director, screenwriter, and producer best known for his work in the Indian film industry.
He tied the knot with actress Krishna Priya on 9th November 2014.
Previously, he worked as an assistant director when he was aged 19 under S. Shankar for the films Enthiran (2010) and Nanban (2012).
His directorial debut was the film Raja Rani, starring Nayanthara, Nazriya, Arya, and Jai, produced by Fox Star Studios, for which he won the award as Best Debut Director at the Vijay Award and “Best Dialogue Writer” at the Tamil Nadu State award.

On Sunday, January 8, 2024, director Atlee stepped out with his wife, actress Krishna Priya, in the city. The Paparazzi clicked the couple before they entered their car.
He is in the news since 2022 for his next big flick, Jawaan, and later for his post on social media, where the couple announced their first pregnancy with an adorable post.
The post was captioned as “Happy to announce that we are pregnant need all your blessings and love with love Atlee and Krishna Priya” giving a picture credit to the photographer @mommyshotsbyamrita, which delighted the netizens and they received a warm response from their fans and also the celebrities, including Rashmika Mandanna and Kajal Aggarwal along with other well-known personalities from the south industry.
In the video posted by Pinkvilla on Sunday, January 8, 2024, the adorable couple is seen posing for the Pappz before leaving the venue, Krishna Priya’s face glows with her pregnancy, and she is flaunting her light dress, and the director is dressed up in a simple white sweatshirt and black joggers, in which he looks cool.

The Paparazzi interacted with them, where one of the Pappz asked Atlee about the most anticipated film Jawaan and about the film’s progress on the production front to which the director replied, “all good,” when one of the paparazzi told him that his film Jawaan is the most anticipated film of the year 2024. Atlee replied, saying “thank you” and headed back straight into his car.

Atlee is directing his next big film, a multi-starrer, starring Shahrukh Khan, Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Deepika Padukone, Sanya Malhotra, Yogi Babu, Priyamani, and Sunil Grover titled Jawaan (June 2024).
The plot of the film Jawaan revolves around an ordinary man who is punished for a mistake he did not commit. How will the false event affect him and how will he fix it? And the last question remaining will be: how will he overcome those who have put him through this trouble?
Film Jawaan will mark the debut of the director and south actress Nayantara in Bollywood. However, it’s a coincidence that his directorial debut also starred actress Nayanthara.
