Before the show begins, ‘&AUDITION -The Howling-‘ released their first official song, ‘The Final Countdown.’
The premiere date for HYBE Labels Japan’s first ever global Japanese boy group debut project, ‘&AUDITION -The Howling-‘, has been set on Saturday, July 9th, at 1:30 p.m. The programme will be available on Hulu Japan and the HYBE LABELS official YouTube channel.
The trainees will take part in a large-scale project to produce artists who will make their debut in Japan and then go on to perform on the international stage. To achieve this growth, the trainees will face challenges together (“&”) as they pursue their mutual dream of making their debut (“Howling”).
The music video for the signal song ‘The Final Countdown’ was released prior to the start of the audition programme ‘&AUDITION -The Howling-‘ on 28th June 2022 midnight.
The music video starts with a wolf howling on a rooftop at night and then the camera pins towards the moon. When the camera shifts back to the roof, instead of a wolf, Taki is seen. In the first few scenes, Taki, Ej, K and Nicholas are shown, later, the other trainees of the programme. When Taki, K, Nicholas, and Ej howled (like a wolf, shown at the beginning of the MV), even if they were far away, the remaining trainees heard it and ran to them, calling out to the new members.
All the members then come together wearing white tops, running in a wide green land. Divided, few were performing in a band, few were b-boying. Then again together, they perform with Taki in the center, in what looks like a Japanese school gymnasium.
The scene again changes to all of them running through the woods, changing into wolves. A solo shot of every member is shown, howling. Then they all run towards the beach, jumping and laughing. In the last scene the all hold their hands together and “僕大古の八少 陆届考来字士方化,” which translates to “we hope the howl reaches you,” comes on the screen.
K, EJ, Nicholas, and Taki have already been chosen as group members. Then there are 11 trainees who will compete to make their debut with the first four. Fuma, Hayate, Junwon, Yuma, Gaku, Jo, Hikaru, Harua, Maki, Minhyung, and Yejun are the trainees.
