The Delhi High Court granted bail to Chitra Ramkrishna, earlier Chief Executive Officer of the National Stock Exchange (NSE), on Thursday. She was convicted in a money laundering case filed against her by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in relation to the NSE phone-tapping case. Journalist Rana Ayyub’s efforts to challenge the petition filed against her by a UP court in a money laundering case has failed as the Supreme Court dismissed her plea on Tuesday. On January 25, 2024, India issued a notice to Pakistan regarding the modification of the Indus Waters Treaty (IWT). This treaty was signed in September 1960. India has lost its authority to 26 of 65 patrolling points in the Eastern region of Ladakh. This worrying revelation is presented by a senior police officer in the union territory amid the country’s standoff with China at several hotspots along their high-risk 3,500-km frontier.
