In the Gujarat Assembly elections of 2022, Bhanuben Manoharbhai Babariya, 47, is the only female candidate from the Rajkot Rural constituency. This 47-year-old victor defeated Vashrambhai Sagathiya of the Aam Aadmi Party by 48,494 votes, winning the Rajkot Rural Constituency and becoming the only woman to run for both the cabinet and state minister positions in the Gujarat Assembly elections of 2022.
