Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra is going to enter Congress ruled state Rajasthan, on December 2.
Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra is going to enter Congress ruled state Rajasthan on December 2, but it is facing obstacles prior to it. The Gujjar community is protesting as their promises are unfulfilled and on the other hand the OBC community is asking for change in its reservation structure in state employment services. Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot and former deputy CM Sachin Pilot are also in continuous verbal battles that are giving wind up to the rumors of their conflict. The Congress leadership is being cautious but it is unlikely that these issues get resolved before the Rajasthan leg of Bharat Jodo Yatra.
Gujjar Community threatening to oppose Bharat Jodo Yatra in villages
Gujjar leaders from late Colonel Kirori Singh Bainsla’s group, are threatening the Congress government to fulfill all the promises made to the community in 2019. Vijay Bainsla, son of late Kirori Singh Bainsla is heading this agitation that is set to take up gear as Bharat Jodo Yatra approaches Rajasthan. Gujjar leaders parting in different directions before Bharat Jodo Yatra
Before the agitation can take pace, CM Ashok Gehlot sympathizer MLAs are gathering together to make peace with the Gujjar community people in their constituencies. Several MLAs alleged that Rajasthan BJP is behind the Gujjar leaders’ statements. The Congress government of Rajasthan is taking all the steps to help fulfill the promises made.
They accused Vijay Bainsla of playing the part of BJP and also that he inherited the leadership from his father and is not a real Gujjar Community leader. They also said that Vijay Bainsla is playing puppet at hands of Rajasthan BJP for securing assembly ticket by BJP.

OBC Community showing distrust in Congress Government
The OBC Community from Rajasthan is also mounting pressure on the CM Ashok Gehlot’s government to revise the OBC reservation bill. Especially Jat leaders who make a good percentage in OBC are asking tough questions to CM Ashok Gehlot in which many belong from the Congress party.
In a clever move, yesterday, CM Ashok Gehlot said that all the confusion of OBC reservation will be tabled soon and PCC Chief Govind Singh Dotasara will hold talks between leaders who himself belong from the Jat community and can facilitates votes from the Jat community on Ashok Gehlot’s behalf. CM Ashok Gehlot also said that army officials will also be included in the talks as this OBC reservation includes retired army personnel as second party.

CM Ashok Gehlot assumed office in 2018 and from day one he is facing tough challenges in the form of Sachin Pilot and also other party MLAs. He also dealt with Covid, Rajya Sabha elections and Congress president elections.
Now, just 1 year before the state assembly elections, he is countering Caste and community politics. All this is happening but CM Gehlot is still rigid dealing with every hurdle with ease. That’s why he is called the ‘Magician of politics’.
Gujjar and Jat community have history of supporting congress in the past
Although the Jat and Gujjar community are agitating against congress, they have chosen congress over BJP from last many elections. Many big guns of the Jat community have been leaders of congress and now their political legacy is carried by their family successors. Sachin Pilot himself came into politics after his father late Rajesh Pilot. In the last assembly elections held in 2018, Gujjar voters cast their votes in favor of Sachin Pilot as they thought he might end up being CM.
