In the latest promo of the ongoing season of Bigg Boss 16, Archana Gautum will be competing against Nirmit Kaur in the torture task. The season is 12 days away from its finale and the atmosphere is becoming very intense. The new task is a part of the nominations and possibly brings out the worst in her.
In the task, Team B of Archana Gautam, Shalin Bhanot and Priyanka Chahar Choudhary would compete against Team A of Shiv Thakare, MC Stan, and Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia. The contestants are supposed to hold tight to the buzzer until the siren goes off. While the other three contestants popularly known as ‘Mandali’ will torture them until they leave the buzzer.
Even after several attempts, the first three contestants including Archana did not let go of the buzzer. Hence she and her team successfully claimed their prize money back. After the task, she was seen shivering and her face was swollen due to the chemicals other contestants used.
She pleaded to torture everyone more than they did to her. The same day, she started preparing for the task. Archana hid spices like turmeric while other contestants were sleeping. She also packed an entire bag of supplies like shampoo, etc.
In the video clippings, she can be seen throwing turmeric powder directly at another contestant’s face (Nimrit Kaur). After she leaves to bring a bucket of water, Nimrit begins crying and shouting because of acute pain in her eyes due to the spices.
Archana allegedly mixed chilli power together with turmeric powder. Which caused sudden pain in Nimrit’s eyes. Without any hesitation, Archana jumps in the middle of the conversation and says “Humne bhi toh jhela tha! Bola tha double hoga” ( we also went through the same! I told you that the amount will be doubled).
Public Reaction
Archana looks like a lioness in the promo, prepared fully to ace the task and torture them in any way possible. However, the ‘chilli powder’ that she used to make Nimrit sob didn’t sit well with the viewers. Many users slammed the 21-year-old for being ‘insensitive’ towards fellow contestant Nimrit and have expressed their support for her after she ‘endured’ the horrific treatment throughout the task.
According to the new promo of bigg boss the task was stopped in the middle. One user wrote “l am sorry but if you compare the torture between Nimrit and Priyanka it’s clearly visible in this photo that Nimrit suffered more.”
Her fans quickly came to her defense and said “Hypocrisy of team A and bigg boss is exposed, they themselves put the detergent powder in their eyes and now they are playing the victim card.”
Recent Controversy
This isn’t the first time that Archana has made headlines for her ‘wrong’ behaviour in the house. She was massively trolled by the viewers when she used physical violence in the show against a fellow contestant Shiv Thakree. Because of this, she was also eliminated from the house as using physical force for any task is banned in the show.
