American pop icon Britney Spears recently revealed her health through an Instagram post and shared that she has been suffering from incurable nerve damage on the right side of her body for the last 3 years, making it hard to sleep.
Britney Spears, a 40-year-old singer, shared a dancing video of herself on Instagram and penned a long caption explaining her health situation. She admitted that she struggles with pain and that her sleep has been impacted by nerve damage, but dancing has helped to lessen the agony.
Furthermore, she said that she wakes up three times a week in bed with her hands completely numb.
Britney Spears said, “I am dancing in time now, Victoria… yes, I have nerve damage on the right side of my body… “There’s no cure except God, I guess.”
Britney’s condition seemed severe; she claimed, “The nerves are tiny, and it feels like pins and needles from the right side of my body.” “It shoots up to my neck, and the part that hurts the worst is my temple on my head… it stings, and it’s scary.”
Britney Spears married her longtime boyfriend Sam Asghari in June this year. Later, she was under the conservatorship of her father for 13 years. A Los Angeles court terminated the conservatorship in November 2021.
How incurable nerve damage happens?
Our nervous system is rich in nerves and involved in everything our brain does. from sensing heat and cold to controlling muscles. There are 100 different types of nerve damage. Different types of damage have different symptoms and require different treatments.
It is estimated that 20 million Americans suffer from peripheral nerve damage.
Peripheral nerve damage means that when these nerves don’t work properly, it may be because of damage to a single nerve or a group of nerves. It may affect the whole body.
Britney Spears explained that this happened when there was a restricted supply of oxygen to the brain, which eventually caused her parts to go numb.
