The World’s biggest boy band, BTS, became the most viewed act in YouTube history.
BTS, also known as Bangtan Boys, RM, Jin, Suga, J-hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook, broke yet another record. Ever since the group debuted in 2013, they have been making records, writing history, breaking records, and winning hearts with their music, culture, behavior, and a lot of things.
And now, another feather of achievement has been added to their already adorned cap. As of August 13th, BTS has become the most viewed artist in YouTube history.
Throughout the years, BTS has consistently shared captivating content with the BTS Army. They have always made sure that top-quality video clips are delivered to the audience to keep them amused.
BTS has several main YouTube networks that take part in developing a neighborhood on the system for them, Bangtan TV being the center of it all.
Bangtan TV is the official YouTube channel of the group where videos including behind-the-scenes, photo sketches, dance practice, etc. get posted continuously keeping the audience engaged.
Another channel, Hybe Labels, is the network for all their music videos and it also consists of the ones launched by the various musicians under the tags, consisting BigHit Music, Pledis Entertainment, Source Music, Koz Entertainment, Belift Lab, and even more.
With a staggering 26.7 billion views across all their official channels, BTS has surpassed Justin Bieber, who stands in the second position with his own 26.6 billion views. The third position was grabbed by Ed Sheeran with 26.1 billion views.
The list further includes Bad Bunny, Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Shakira, Ozuna, and Eminem, and concludes with Ariana Grande at number 10.
The three music videos that contributed the most to BTS’s milestone include Boy With Luv (ft. Halsey), their 2020 smash hit Dynamite, and DNA, with over 1 billion views, making it their top 3 most watched music videos.
The group has received numerous awards, including multiple American Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards, Golden Disc Awards, and nominations for two Grammy Awards.
In 2017, they partnered with UNICEF to establish the Love Myself anti-violence campaign and went on to speak at three sessions of the United Nations General Assembly.
In 2018, BTS became the youngest recipient of the Order of Cultural Merit from the President of South Korea for their contributions to spreading Korean culture and language. In 2019, Time magazine named BTS as one of the 100 most influential people of the year, labeling them the “Princes of Pop”.
On May 31, 2022, BTS even paid a visit to US President Joe Biden at the White House to discuss the recent rise in anti-Asian hate crimes and discrimination. The news of BTS being crowned as the most viewed artist on YouTube has left ARMYs across the world super excited.
