BTS Jimin’s latest track ‘Like Crazy’ from his solo album ‘FACE’ will be performed live today at “The Tonight Show” Starring Jimmy Fallon
One of the star vocalists of the biggest boy group of the GenZ era BTS, Jimin is all set to make his solo debut on one of the most popular late-night shows in America, “The Tonight Show” starring Jimmy Fallon. And the BTS ARMY (BTS’s fandom) can’t keep calm about it. Moreover, the singer will perform solo on his latest track ‘Like Crazy’ from the album ‘FACE‘ for the first time ever on the show. Although he has made an appearance prior to this one but was accompanied by the other members of the group.
The episode where Jimin talked about a plethora of topics starting from his childhood, his love for music, his inspirations, and a lot more was telecasted on the official youtube channel of The Tonight Show by Jimmy Fallon.
He was greeted with booming cheers by the ARMY, who were equally happy as the singer, about his presence on the show. Jimin also can be seen teaching a cute little dance move to Jimmy, which left the audience in awe of the artist. Jimmy introduced Jimin as the five-time Grammy-nominated artist as the group BTS was nominated five times for the Recording Academy on the show, for which Jimin expressed his love and gratitude towards his fans and also shared the group’s feelings on the same that they too never expected to get recognized by the Recording Academy.
The year 2024 has been quite fascinating from Jimin’s point of view so far. The huge brand collaborations with the luxury houses like Dior and Tiffany and Co. also his very first and very own solo debut. ‘FACE’ the album’s name itself has a dual meaning of ‘face’ and ‘face’. Jimin’s album shows the various aspects of himself and his life while looking back at his past and has expressed a number of emotions about his growth till now. ‘FACE’ includes ‘Set Me Free Pt. 2’ which was pre-released and is already a hit following the title track of the album ‘Like Crazy’, and other tracks like ‘Face-off’, ‘Interlude: Dive’, and ‘Alone’.
The artist has expressed his genuine feelings about what he was going through during the COVID-19 pandemic over the past two years. The album was born while the artist was overcoming his loneliness and wandering behind a spectacular life with music. The songs in the album are narratives of different emotions which organically connects with each other.
The song ‘Like Crazy’ is a groovy synth-pop genre, which depicts the moment when one wants to escape the harsh world of reality in front of them. The song was inspired by the 2011 romance film of the same name. Jimin can be seen in a never before avatar which is loved and admired by his fans. His enchanting vocals and amazing choreography are to die for in this song.
Jimin earlier collaborated with singer Taeyang on a song named ‘Vibe’ before releasing his solo album. In an interview with Rolling Stone, Taeyang talked about the process of how he and Jimin came up with the song and shared his experience of working with Jimin. Taeyang told Rolling Stones about the time when he met Jimin and the other BTS members via various private gatherings and events and expressed his desire to work with the artist, to which Jimin happily agreed.
The song ‘Like Crazy’ has been released today along with his album ‘FACE’ and will be performed live on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon.
