BTS are a K-pop (or Korean pop) group made up of seven members – Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook – who come from all over South Korea. They launched in 2013 and have since rocketed to global stardom. Over the years, the group has produced material around a variety of themes, starting with the ‘School’ trilogy. K-pop is known for its unique styling, as well as its creative and incredibly eye-catching music videos.
One of their members got life threatening message over social media. And fans got worried about it. In the death threats note the hater wrote “ The October live performance is free and is a pleasant change to eliminate Taehyung (Kim Taehyung aka V) from Jikook lives ”Reacting to the posts, followers took to Twitter and urged BTS’s company HYBE to take necessary action.” Taehyung and Jimin are getting a lot of D£4TH THR€4T$ these days and no one is talking about it except people who notice the threads about it,” one fan wrote. “Only yesterday reports of such malicious exposure!! @HYBEOFFICIALtwt this is getting out of hand!! Please take action against the vermin who threaten the safety of our boys!! We condemn this behaviour,”added another one. “We demand that legal action be taken immediately for the death threats against Kim Taehyung,” commented someone else.
HYBE or its subsidiary music label BigHit MUSIC has not yet responded to the fans. These two manage BTS and are often seen sharing updates about taking strict legal actions against the violation of the artists’ rights. “We have recently filed additional criminal complaints against postings with personal attacks and defamation using new information provided by fans as well as collected through our monitoring initiatives,” further quoted Soompi.
One of the fans tweeted, “@HYBEOFFICIALtwt has announced 13 times that they will take legal action for infringement of artist rights (From 2016 to the present). However, Artist Kim Taehyung is still under threat. @BIGHIT_MUSIC @weverseofficial HYBE TAKE ACTION ASAP PROTECT TAEHYUNG! #bts #ARMY.”
