Another member of the K-Pop supergroup BTS has tested positive for COVID-19 making five cases in just three months.
BTS member Kim Tae-Hyung also known as V, was feeling the symptoms of Covid-19 later Tuesday afternoon; he went to the hospital for an RTPCR test. According to his agency’s statement, Big Hit Music, he tested positive.
According to the reports, the singer is currently undergoing treatment at home while waiting for further guidelines from the health care authorities,’ the statement from Big Hit read.
V was around other members before testing positive, although everyone maintained socially distancing.
Earlier this month BTS members Suga, Jin and RM all made full recoveries from the coronavirus. It was revealed on Christmas Eve that member Min Suga tested positive for COVID-19, with group leader RM and Jin testing positive on Christmas Day.
BTS is the most popular Korean band with a huge fan base worldwide. The band comprises seven members; they also recently performed in The United Nations General Assembly.
BigHit Music confirms that BTS will be returning to the live stage for their in-person concert in Seoul in March 2022 and gearing up to enter a “new chapter” with the upcoming release of the GRAMMY-nominated acts upcoming.
The band took a short break and is currently in South Korea. Big Hit earlier confirmed on the Korean app WeVerse that SUGA had made a full recovery from COVID-19, and his quarantine has concluded as of today, January 3.
Their hit song Dynamite was named the top song of the year on Apple Music and the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart, earning RIAA triple-platinum status.
The group also scored a 2022 Grammy Awards nomination for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for Butter’s hit song.
