It was announced on July 28, 2022, that Bangtan Boys would be a part of ‘Team Century’ in the World Cup, and they will release the song at the beginning of November.Â
The BTS boys have a long association with Hyundai, the official sponsor of the Qatar World Cup. The band has been the official ambassador for Hyundai for many years, and now they are all set to release the World Cup anthem as a part of Hyundai’s latest campaign, ‘Goal Of The Century.’
How is BTS associated with Hyundai’s FIFA World Cup campaign?
In April 2022, Hyundai announced the launch of the campaign ‘Goal Of The Century,’ which will promote sustainability.Â
Hyundai will launch the campaign in collaboration with football icon Steve Gerrard, Korean national team captain Park Jisung, UNESCO ambassador Nadia Nadim, the famous sculptor Lorenzo Quinn, and fashion designer Jeremy Scott.
BTS wrote a piece about sustainable living and its importance in the modern world a couple of years ago to promote the latest range of Hyundai EVs. Sources have confirmed that Hyundai liked this piece so much that they approached the band to compose the anthem for the 2022 World Cup.Â
Release date of the FIFA World Cup anthem
BTS’s World Cup theme song in association with Hyundai will be unveiled in November. The expected dates are from November 20 to December 1, when the World Cup will be in full swing.Â
Furthermore, the Bangtan Boys will take part in several other campaign activities. They will represent and wear the number 7 jersey together. They will also be a part of Hyundai’s ‘Team Century’ and tour several cities to facilitate the campaign.Â
