The Deputy Chief minister of Delhi has been put behind the bars by the central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) pertaining to be a corrupt in the excise policy case involving the granting liquor licenses in the city.
“My house was raided for 14 hours and nothing came out, then the bank locker was searched and still nothing came out. They also searched in my village and did not find anything there as well.”

The case was put in the Centre after Delhi LG recommended a CBI investigation to the alleged irregularities in implementing the Excise policy of Delhi 2021-2022.
As the spat between LG VK Saxena and Arvind Kejriwal has led to a huge fuss of exchanging of words against and in support of the Delhi excise policy 2021-2022.
Earlier, Harpal Singh Cheema came in support claiming the policy done wonders in Punjab, the same policy that is disallowed in national capital.
He said that about 4000 crores were collected within the financial year for the first time.
The debate goes around not giving the L-1 licenses to liquor suppliers, withdrawing it and rather government led corporations should be set up to supply liquor to the retail shops.
After which Kejriwal tweeted “Jail bars and hanging trap could not deter Bhagat Singh’s intentions. This is the second fight for freedom. Manish Sisodia and Satyendra Jain are today’s Bhagat Singh”.
However, CBI has conducted one more arrest last Sunday, Abhishek Boinpally who was allegedly involved in a liquor business in South Africa was summoned for questioning in the case. Officials said he was involved in evading and Cartelization for the southern lobby.
