The pandemic had brought a sudden catastrophe to the lives of the people living abroad. Most of them were forced to leave their workplace and return to their homeland. The Chinese Embassy in India has updated its Covid-19 Policy and is accepting visa applications from foreign nationals. The Embassy has also decided to give Visas to the families of the applicants who want to renew their work in China.
Visa For students.
China is also processing the request for providing Visas to several thousand students who want to study at Chinese Universities. Many students had left their studies midway due to the pandemic and had to return to India. Many were attending online classes in these Chinese universities but now it is good news for them. These students can return to their normal offline classes upon receiving their visas.
As per the reports, there were about 23000 medical students who had to return from China and have been stranded for two years and more since 2019. 12000 students are willing to go back now.
China will soon come up with a criterion about the restrictions that need to be followed by students after coming back to China, because such a huge number of people may again lead to a spike in cases of Covid-19.
Big Relief for Chinese Employees
It is a relief for Chinese professionals who have been working in Beijing for a long time to now visit India. Last month people stranded in China had urged External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar to give a little press to Beijing to allow their stranded families to return to India. Along with that, the Chinese Embassy in New Delhi said that Chinese citizens residing in India can also go for family reunions in China. The relatives who want to come from China may also apply for Visas.
This Visa renewal brings a ray of hope not only to the people but also to the flight services between the two countries which have been shut down for more than two years now. Though China is yet to announce plans regarding the opening of flight services between the two countries.
