She asked students from different countries along with India to keep patience and faith in them. She said that they’re continuously working with the universities to arrange documents and set necessary preparations for the students.
“What I’ve learnt from MOE colleague is Chinese universities welcome you back and need some time to get prepared since new study visa policy just announced. Pls keep patience & faith,” she said.
“Actually I am told your teachers dislike online classes either since they work much harder to give more lectures to students from different regions due to time equation. Believe universities will try their best to speed up the process, & your teachers welcome you back to campus!” added Ji.
Relief and Challenges
After two years into the pandemic China has relaxed its visa ban . It has come as a great relief to the standard Indian students.
More than 23,000 students were enrolled in Chinese Universities as of 2019. Most of these students were from medical background. This made it extra difficult for them as they needed to get on with their practicals in order to learn and graduate.
Banning of Indians from travelling to China in November 2020 further aggravated the problem. Infact, direct flights from China to India are still not functioning yet after two years into the pandemic. While China is slowly relaxing on international flights, both governments are negotiating direct flights.
